The toy car is none other than his dog Bubu who after his death, in order not to abandon his beloved owner, moves into his favorite toy.Buddy In addition to being animated and talking, Chacha can also fly, go underwater and give good advice to little Buddy who begins to discover the world and its thousand surprises, but when he is in the presence of adults, he returns to being a normal toy. Buddy lives with his parents in a beautiful little house with a garden in the outskirts of New York and often plays with Mary, a neighbor of his child, who more often than not proves to be vain and conceited. Each episode begins with a book that is open, as if it were a photo album where the important moments of our life are told and has as its theme a particular discovery of Buddy.
Mary, Buddy and ChachaIn the episode "The Mysterious Wind" Bubu learns about the wind and amazed he asks Chacha some questions about what it is and how its breath is born. Chacha gives logical and scientific explanations which, however, do not completely satisfy Buddy's curiosity, who runs towards the wind to personally ask him some questions. Meanwhile, in the park where our protagonists are, there is also a musician who practices playing the cello and through the wind brings sweet melodies that reach Buddy's ears, who learns a tune, which constantly hums "pipira pira pira can ... ". Chacha says that there are also fairies in the wind who enjoy playing tricks on people, such as flying hats or lifting ladies' skirts. Buddy continues to hum that song and teaches it to both his friend Mary and his parents and soon all the townspeople learn that tune, which is carried by the wind. That evening Buddy and his parents go to the theater for a classical music concert and here Buddy meets the park musician who, in a panic attack, wants to give up playing his piece of music. After being encouraged by some people it is the turn of his performance and from the first notes of the cello Buddy immediately recognizes the music that begins to sing "Pipira pira pira puu ..", soon all the spectators sing that music and the shy musician is embraced from the audience's singing, to the notes of his own music. The wind fairies brought the music to Buddy's ears, while the musician was playing in the park and from Buddy it reached many people, thanks to this experience the child understands how the wind can communicate a universal language, making itself the bearer of sounds and emotions.
In the episode "Buddy and Mary have a secret" we find Buddy who doesn't want to have breakfast and immediately goes out to play with Chacha. Both Mary and Cathrine say they have a secret they can't reveal and this makes little Buddy burst with curiosity. Catherine says that her secret must come from the sea and Buddy follows her, while everyone ignores Mary's secret, which is very bad for us. Catherine goes to the bridge to witness the arrival of the salmon who must go upstream to spawn upstream, braving rapids and waterfalls. Buddy and Chacha decide to follow the salmon, but Buddy is tired from not having breakfast so he falls asleep. Luckily Chacha had kept it for him, so after having eaten some delicious sandwiches, he has the strength to row and follow the path of the salmon that go against the current. By watching the salmon go upstream, Buddy learns the toughness of nature and natural selection as only the strongest will have the strength to spawn. To Buddy, this all seems unfair and thanks to Chacha's friend Truck, all the salmon are loaded into the bin and brought upstream to lay their eggs. But a doubt assails us ... What was Mary's secret?
