Christmas is approaching and the McKenzie Farm is disappointed with a lack of snow. But our darlings don't lose heart and get a nice artificial snowfall. Satisfied, they compete with snowmen and Christmas trees. The long-awaited day arrives but, when everyone is at the table, a fugitive armed with a gun breaks in. Lupo Alberto intervenes discovering that the bandit is not so bad. Even after New Year's Eve between songs, dances and attempts by Alberto to join the party by escaping Moses, our Wolf will have to face wild boy scouts, election campaigns, pacts with the devil, voodoo rites, space launches, dental interventions and disguises. But the animals of the Mackenzie farm take on the responsibility of representing us, of representing human achievements and crap. Silver has no hesitation in saying: "I 'am' Lupo Alberto with his aspirations, his anarchic drive and his marginalization", and he is certainly more convincing than when Gustave Flaubert claimed to be Madame Bovary. Silver does not lose the hair or the vice in each of his stories, the mad desire to get moving with wolfishness to set the whole situation in motion. ...
