DVD Arrietty

DVD ArriettyThe fourteen-year-old Sho arrives at his aunt's house, surrounded by a splendid garden, to spend the few days that separate him from heart surgery in absolute tranquility, but as soon as he arrives he sees something in the grass, indeed someone who leaves him amazed: I borrowed it from Arrietty. Borrowers are tiny beings (they can fit in the palm of your hand) who live under the floor of houses and who make very small thefts in order to survive. Arrietty, with her mother and father, lives right under the floor of her aunt's house and that very night she is spotted once again by Sho, while she is looking for a sugar cube and a paper handkerchief. Despite the somewhat different dimensions, Arrietty and Sho are peers and a kind of friendship arises between them, even if the relationships between humans and borrowers are very dangerous for the latter. In fact, Mrs. Haru, the woman to whom the boy has been entrusted, suspects the existence of these little beings and captures Arrietty's mother by closing her in a jar and then calls a rodent control company.
