DVD THE SWORD IN THE ROCK

It is the legend of King Art revisited in this classic Walt Disney animation from 1963. The protagonist is the blond Semola, a frail and clumsy boy, humble servant of Sir Ettore and his son Caio. Semola is always mocked and humiliated by his masters, but one day, while he was going into the woods to retrieve Caio's arrow, he finds the home of the extravagant Wizard Merlin. He asks Sir Ettore to educate the boy and so Semola will learn the secrets and the philosophy of life. To make the lesson better understood by little Semola, Merlin is transformed into a fish, later in a squirrel. His lesson is interrupted by the meeting with Maga Mag , with whom he will have a spectacular magic duel. Meanwhile, Gaius prepares for the New Year's tournament, the winner of which will be crowned King of England. Semola will have to act as a squire for Gaius, but after having lost his sword he retrieves one embedded in a rock. When the knights, including Gaius, understand that Semola has pulled the sword out of the stone, they too try to pull it out, but without success. Only the small and frail Semolina is able to extract it because he is the future King Arthur the new king of England.
