The title "Rebel - The Brave" is the Scottish princess Merida. Her father taught her to archery since she was a child and Merida immediately proved to be courageous and full of determination. Her mother, on the other hand, would like her to be more feminine and elegant, with ways of doing worthy of her rank. According to an ancient tradition, the firstborn sons of the three clans ruled by Merida's father will have to compete to get his hand. The girl decides to participate in the games herself and chooses archery. Naturally she beats everyone, so no one will be able to ask for her in marriage, but this will lead her to quarrel with her mother, so after having tore the precious family tapestry with a gesture of anger, she runs away into the woods. Here he runs into a witch who he asks to change her mother's way of thinking. The witch gives her a cake to feed the woman. The queen turns into a bear but, in the meantime, the witch has disappeared and Merida has only two days to make her mother human again. Meanwhile, the two come closer and begin to understand each other. Merida's father, however, believes that the bear killed his wife and tries to kill her.
