International Festival dedicated to animated videos made in flash but not only: also games, workshops for schools, works from all over the world and much more! Follow online at www.flashfestival.it all the news and get to work! There is time until April 4th 2010!

The 9th Torino Flash Festival is organized by the Azimut Cultural Association with the support of the Piedmont Region, the City of Turin, the Turin Chamber of Commerce, District 1, CRT Foundation and in collaboration with Topix, Wi Pie, Environment Park, Museum del Cinema, Tex97, MultiDAMS.

OBJECTIVES
The Torino Flash Festival has among its priorities that of creating a space that allows animation authors to sever the link between digital creation and its dissemination through internet sites, as well as to make this new form of art known to a lesser public. familiar with the use of the network and its creative and artistic potential.

RACE SECTIONS
The ninth edition of the Torino Flash Festival has three distinct competition sections:
PURE FLASH
dedicated to all animations generated exclusively with the use of Flash. Every
participant may present more than one work to the selection of the 9th Torino Flash Festival
ANIMATION MIX
dedicated to all 2D digital animations generated with the use of any software.
Each participant will be able to present to the 9th Torino Flash Festival selection more than
a work
FLASH IN ACTION
Interactivity and play are essential characteristics of digital media, in the
communication as in art. In particular, video games are a new form
expressive in which to experiment with languages, narrative models, design, technologies,
viral marketing and in which to develop new forms of creativity. In this context, in collaboration with the Development Program of the TOP-IX Consortium, the Flash in Action section was created, dedicated to: Games, ADSGames, Interactive Animation, Generated Art Experiments, works that use the java language.

REGISTRATION
Registration is free for each section of the competition. All the works received by Sunday 4th April 2010 will be admitted to the competition; all selected authors will be informed within Friday 30th April 2010.

METHOD OF REGISTRATION
It is possible to participate with more than one work; to register, simply fill in all of its points in the registration form available on the website www.flashfestival.it, attaching the work in .swf format or indicating the link from which to download the work in any format.
Copyright and intellectual property of the works remain wholly owned by the authors.

DATE OF PERFORMANCE
The 9th Torino Flash Festival will be held in May 2010

AWARDS
A Commission made up of journalists, technicians, professionals, artists chosen by the Management of the Torino Flash Festival, will divide in this way the prize money of € 4.300: € 2.000 to the First Prize for the Pure Flash Section, € 1.000 to the First Prize for the Section Animation Mix, € 1.000 to the First Prize for the Flash Animation Section.
An Audience Award of € 300 will also be awarded for the animation section: spectators present at the final evening of the Festival will be able to reward the winning work by indicating a preference.

GENERAL RULES
Admission to the Torino Flash Festival implies the unconditional acceptance of these regulations. The Management of the Torino Flash Festival can take decisions relating to issues not covered by the regulation.
