The CARTOON DAY is finally back, on July 8, 2007, the Roman summer will come alive with the best of Italian comics and animation. This second edition will take place within the ROMAN SUMMER on the TIBER ISLAND during the cartoon Sundays of GENTE DI CARTOONIA in the suggestive LungoTevere of the Tiber Island a stone's throw from Trastevere.
This initiative is proposed as a new and dynamic event in the vast panorama of sector events, proposing a project that gives visibility both to the most important companies on the national scene and to all the local realities of enthusiasts and emerging artists.
Also in this edition of the CARTOON DAY the organizational structures will be managed by some important national realities: the artistic direction will be by Mirko Fabbreschi (Photonic Rays) while the organizational management will be by the Satyrnet Cultural Association and the Agency Graphic Placet with the precious collaboration of the animation studio MatitAnimata.
CARTOON DAY will be characterized by a young and flexible spirit that aims to create a multicultural space, in which users will be able to attend at the same time exclusive exhibitions and projections of major names in international animation, together with exhibitions of new emerging talents: writers , illustrators and designers will have an entire area to create and exhibit their works: a concrete bridge between their passion, the world of work and the public itself.
The day of the cartoons, with free admission, will take place from 10 in the morning until late at night, and, taking advantage of the evocative location of the event, it will offer visitors various forms of entertainment and live performances that will give everyone the opportunity to get to know and enter the world of cartoons and comics as well as an area of commercial stands, small crafts and fanzines. .
Participants will also have the opportunity to entertain themselves with the best intelligent gaming associations, participate, play with the rules games , to attend the projection of the previews of television series and author shorts, to meetings with some of the most important Italian realities of fandom and associations, exhibitions, conferences, the talk show GENTE DI CARTOONIA , the cosplay parade, the new concert-show of the Photonic Rays and much more
The most important and meritorious Italian cultural associations and companies that have primary purposes of enhancing cartooning will be called to actively participate in the CARTOON DAY.
