The volleyball that comes from Japan

Mim , Mila and Shiro, Crimson Hero: the stars of Japanese cartoons and comics take center stage at the Palalido in Milan in a great evening of volleyball and entertainment with free admission. Saturday 15 May starting at 18.00 pm the facility in Piazza Stuparich will host Star Volley - We were born from cartoons, an event promoted by the Local Organizing Committee of Milan of the 2010 Italian Men's Volleyball World Cup: a step towards the most awaited volleyball event year, which will start from Milan with the inauguration ceremony on 24 September and, the following day, the debut match of the Italian national team against Japan.

The challenge with the Japanese representative brings to the memory of fans the suggestions of the Eighties, when many boys learned to know and appreciate volleyball thanks to cartoons and comics from Japan, in particular "Mim and the National Volleyball Team ", followed a few years later by" Mila and Shiro ". Two beloved series in Italy, the best episodes of which will be retransmitted during the evening of May 15th. And beyond the "vintage" animation, the union between volleyball and manga continues to this day: thanks to "Crimson Hero", a recent comic that reserves ample space for the world of volleyball.

But Star Volley is not just comics and animation: during the event there will be many opportunities for recreation for all those who visit the Palalido. The highlight of the evening will be a great volleyball match that will involve players of the present and the past and guests from the world of sport and entertainment: among those present also Alberto Cisolla, Paolo Tofoli, Luca Cantagalli, Andrea Lucchetta, Carmen Turlea, Veronica Angeloni and Rachele Sangiuliano. The "dances" will open as early as 18.00 with the launch of the commercial stands and a series of activities dedicated to the art and culture of Japan, organized in collaboration with Mistermax Party: origami workshops, shodo (calligraphy Japanese) and artistic creation of cartoons, demonstration and sale of kendama games, shiatsu massages. Concerts, cabaret shows and tastings organized by the Japanese Restaurateurs Association will complete the evening program.

On the occasion of Star Volley it will also be possible to reserve seats to attend the matches of the Milanese phase of the World Cup. The event of 15 May marks the beginning of the collaboration between the COL of Milan and ADMO, the Association of Bone Marrow Donors, which will be present at the Palalido with its own information stand and will also take part in all subsequent events organized in view of the World Cup. COL Milano also thanks Toshiba, Star Comics, Radio LatteMiele, Autostradale Viaggi and ATM (Azienda Trasporti Milanesi) for the indispensable contribution, which in the coming months will collaborate to ensure maximum visibility at the World Cup and all collateral events.
