Wishfart the cartoon

CITV UK has acquired national rights to broadcast the cartoon wishfart, created by John Hazlett, Lienne Sawatsky and Dan Williams, combining the genres of magic and comedy. The series consists of 40 eoisodi each lasting 11 minutes and is aimed at children aged between 6 and 12 years. The Wishfart cartoon was commissioned by Corus Entertainment in Canada and will be broadcast on the TELETOON channel.

Wishfart tells the adventures of Dez, a young elf with magical powers able to make people's wishes come true, of a ghost girl called Akiko and a fratercula (or puffin) bird called Puffin. Together, they must struggle with the strangest wishes to fulfill, which are beyond their control.

Bejuba! Entertainment is the worldwide distributor of Wishfart and will be the first month to buy the title of MIPCOM and MIP Junior.

"ITV is the first broadcaster outside Teletoon to acquire the series and we are delighted with their passion for the series," says Tatiana Kober of Bejuba!
