THE BABALOOS
The cartoons of Babaloos (original title "Les Babalous en vacances"), based on the stories of Jean-Luc Morel and the drawings of Daniel Orgeval, were created by the studios of France Animation, Cinar Productions, France 3, Ravensburger and Videal between the 1995 and 1999 directed by R my Husson. In Italy they are broadcast on Rai Tre within the program "E 'Domenica papa". The series consists of 130 episodes each lasting 5 minutes and is divided into two seasons: I Babaloos and I Babaloos on vacation. When little Kevin's family sleeps, household items come to life and face thrilling adventures in the kitchen, garage, attic or garden. These animated objects are called Babaloos and are composed of Pencil, Brush, Spoon, Fork, Bowl, Slipper, Shovel, Fishing rod, Screwdriver, Alarm clock, Hammer and many other characters that will enter the scene from time to time. The graphic style of the characters is very reminiscent of the fairy objects of "Beauty and the Beast" by Walt Disney. After the seven hours have elapsed, the Babaloos must necessarily return to their places, before human beings can become aware of their animated presence. Babaloos often go on vacation with their owners, as they bring a lot of accessories from home, such as bowls, spoons and forks. Here the Babaloos will experience exciting adventures in exotic places and unusual landscapes. Babaloos cartoons are aimed at preschool children as they have pedagogical and educational content, such as teaching the use of objects that are used to eat, wash, comb and carry out other daily activities. The Babalous series is made up of short-lived but very exciting and effective episodes, which focuses on the wealth of characters characterized by a strong personality and a great variety of stories and settings.
In Italy the series in 1995 won the Pulcinella silver award for best program for children up to six years. |
