This is a series of the Battle Spirits saga, preceded by "Battle Spirits: Dan the red warrior" and followed by "Battle Spirits: Heroes". The entire Battle Spirits saga is based on a Japanese collectible card game of the same name. The first airing dates back to September 12, 2010, in Japan, on Nagoya TV. From 18 July 2012 it airs in Italy, on Rai Due, at 9:00 am. The series is directed by Akira Nishimori, written by Atsuhiro Tomioka. Battle Spirits is a card game, but there is a world where this game is real.
In the world of Battle Spirits there are six "masters of light", each of which is assigned a color: red, yellow, purple, green, blue and white. Each master has a deck of cards of his own color and fights with it the battles against demons or against other warriors. The protagonist of the series is Dan Bashin, the red warrior, who fights with an all red deck, but who, however, in the "Battle Spirits: Brave" series will adopt a new deck of cards of all colors. The task of the masters of light is to protect Gran Rolo, the world threatened by an evil man named the King of the World Elsewhere, who aims to destroy it. The plot of the series “Battle Spirits: Brave” takes up the exploits of Dan Bashin. The young Bashin, a brave and ambitious boy whose only goal is to win the Battle Spirits tournaments. Dan Bashin found himself fighting real battles in Gran Rolo, a parallel world where Battle Spirits cards generate real attacks, and so in this new series he returns eager to live new exciting adventures and to beat opponents even stronger than those faced. in the past in Gran Rolo. For Dan, the emotion he feels on the battlefield is very strong, and is incomparable to what he feels playing table battles with kids his age. In the first episode of "Battle Spirits: Brave", Dan finally gets the chance to get back into a real battle when Mai Violet, who is now grown up and is called Mai Shinomiya, makes him a very tempting offer. This, aware of the strength of the warrior and his desire to fight, invites him to fight in the future, and so Dan does not hesitate to accept. Suddenly, young Bashin finds himself in a world where the earth is under threat from terrible demons from another dimension. Kazan and Clackey Ray, characters already present in the previous series, welcome him and confess to him the terrible situation in which mankind is afflicted. Only Dan can save them from demons with his skills as a warrior and with his invincible technique.

Dan then joins the band of Sophia, the spacecraft led by Clackey Ray, and to fight creates a new type of card, choosing his favorites from the decks of all colors. Exciting battles and battles are coming for the Red warrior and his companions.

The main characters of the series are:

Dan Bashin: Dan is a guy who is passionate about the Battle Spirit card game. A little childish and sometimes rude, Dan is actually a heart of gold, with a strong sense of justice. As he grows up he becomes more and more calm and serious. In this Battle Spirits series he takes on a somewhat mysterious and gloomy aspect, and sometimes the scary side of the warrior comes out.He always fought with the red deck, and his battle form has always been that of the red dragon, but in this series decides to create a new deck of cards that combines all the colors together.

Mai Shinomiya: known in previous series as Mai Violet, the master of purple light, has a
deck consisting of only purple cards. In this series Mai has grown and is much more feminine than in past series. Her feelings for Dan become more and more evident and she worries a lot that nothing will happen to him.

Youth Glynnhorn: Youth is a new character who appears in the first installment of the Battle Spirits: Brave series. He is a very serious boy, silent and distant at first, but also with an impulsive side that sometimes comes out. He is the pilot of the Sophia.

Plym Machina: Plym is also a new character, making his first appearance in the first episode of Battle Spirits: Brave. Plym is always a cheerful and lively girl, she loves everything mechanical and she joined the gang because she grew up alone on the street and for this she can help the group with her skills developed over time.

Kenzo Hyodo: Kenzo is a character already present in the previous series. This is the green warrior. From an early age he has always been a very good fighter. In the Battle Spirits: Brave series he has grown up and is one of the two doctors who look after the Sofia team alongside Stella Korabelishchikov.

Korabelishchikov star: Stella is the other doctor in the series, she has a tendency to be a bit manic in her work and sometimes seems to be a sadistic scientist eager to dissect humans. I work with Kenzo, but he seems to have a feeling of rivalry for him.

En: En is a small mazoku (demon) who has been held hostage by humans to bargain with demons. She is sweet and very fond of Dan, who takes her with him along with his little brother, Fant. En is incredibly strong despite being very small, and is capable of fighting.

Fant: En's little brother, also mazoku, has his eyes always closed, loves to eat and he too is very attached to Dan.

Angers Loche: a new character in the Battle Spirits series, this is a half French and half American astronaut who comes from the 24th century. She was working on a colonial mission in space, but when her ship, the Hope, was attacked, she was put into hibernation. Upon awakening she is eager and excited to learn all she can from the world around her. Angers is very hard on herself because of the mistakes she sometimes makes, but she is also very optimistic and confident.

Zolder Grave: Zolder is the former leader of the humans in the revolt against the mazoku, before his post was taken by Kazan. He was known as a mighty warrior. Zolder is the reincarnation of Yuuki Momose, the white warrior, and is a master of Battle Spirits for Dan.

Hideto Suzuri: Hideto is already known in previous series as the blue warrior. He has always been a collector of rare cards, in this series he even goes as far as helping Dan by giving him some of his cards without asking him to fight.

Win: commander of the human revolt against the mazoku, it is he who asks for help from Dan to defeat the occupation of the demons. In this series we never see him fighting because he is in a leadership position.

Moonlight Baron: was the Mazoku in charge of Rome, and sees Dan in his first battle in the future against Duc. He is fascinated by his way of fighting. It is a character very distant from others, and sometimes has very feminine attitudes.

Flora Perfume: demon extremely devoted to Barone, rather clumsy and clumsy. As a warrior, however, she is incredibly powerful and violent.

Aeolus: very harsh in appearance, but in reality he is a very faithful and sentimental character, very close to Barone.

Duc: The first mazoku that Dan finds himself fighting against in the "Brave" series. It is a very powerful demon. In reality, despite the semblance of a bad and ruthless character, Duc is very reasonable, cares a lot about his family, and aspires to create a world in which demons and humans can coexist peacefully.
