MACHINE ROBO RESCUE

The cartoon series Machine Robo Rescue (original Japanese title Shutsugeki! Mashin Robo Resukyu) was created by Sunrise under the direction of Hideki Sonoda in 2003, for a total of 51 episodes lasting 24 minutes each. Machine Robo Rescue was broadcast in Italy for the first time on Rai Due in June 2010 and later on Rai Gulp.

The story is set in the near future, when a rescue organization called Machine Robo Rescue (abbreviated as MRR), selected twelve children aged between 10 and 12, based on their characteristics, in order to guide the giant sentient, super technological robots capable of saving humans from all kinds of dangers or natural disasters. The robots are formed with the assembly of several vehicles such as cars, trucks, planes which, once united, give life to a series of robots similar to Transformers that are based on the toy models of Bandai. Among the children that make up the team, the undisputed protagonist is Taiyoh Ohzora, a boy with a particular sixth sense for the premonition of danger, who when he feels a threat to someone, straightens his hair.

Machine Robo Rescue has divided the group into three intervention teams: the Red Wings, the Blue Sirens and the Yellow Gear. In their coats of arms are depicted hands, placed with the symbols of the famous game paper, scissors and stone. The three teams and their pilots can join the robots through a voice command that is given by the K-Boy transmitter.
The Red Wings team specializes in air rescue to put out fires and in fact their official color is red, while the symbol is paper. The team is led by the severe Musashi Miyajima and our Taiyoh Oozora, the superb Arias Honoh who wants to be called Asso , the martial arts expert Rin Haruka and the shy nerd Kai Kitazawa are part of it.
The Blue Sirens are a police body that has the task of intervening in the case of road accidents and when it comes to hunting down some criminal and underworld organization. Distinguished by the blue color, their coat of arms depicts a hand with fingers placed like scissors. The team is led by the wise and calm Kohshiroh Sasaki and is made up of the arrogant Makoto Aikawa, the twins Masato and Tsuyoshi Utada and the blonde English actor Alice Beckham.
The Yellow Gears team is involved in the rescue in case of natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods and collapses. Their color is obviously yellow and in their coat of arms the clenched fist is depicted as a stone. The team is chaired by the beautiful Marie Bitou, daughter of the organization's founder Mr. Brad Bitou, who forbids her to call him `` dad '', but `` commander '' as everyone does. The team is made up of the introverted Hayamizu Risa (distinguished by a nice bow tie), the tender Shoh Ashikawa, the friendly and intelligent Sayuri Suizenji and finally Ken Minami, a long-haired boy.
Finally we find the Machine Robo Rescue Stealth team made up of Jay and V Stealth Robo. The group intervenes in case there is an air, ground or cosmos battle. The team is distinguished by the purple color and the emblem with the fingers placed as a sign of victory.

The story begins with Taiyoh Ohzora a boy who survived a tragic plane crash, which saw the death of his parents. Taiyoh heads by train to Machine Robo Rescue base where he has been selected for the training course. In the company of Bone, his inseparable talking Saint Bernard puppy, he dreams of the day when he will be able to command the Machine Robo Rescue and in particular, has a reverence for Jet Robot, which he sees darting from the train window. However, this distracts him and misses the stop where to get off, which means that he will have to reach the base on foot and arrive late for the appointment. While Taiyoh runs towards the meeting place, he demonstrates all his sensitive 'ability by managing to save the life of a boy on crutches, who was about to be run over by the load thrown from a truck. Meanwhile at the base, instructors Miyajima Musashi, Kohshiroh Sasaki and Marie Bitou welcome the 12 boys selected to become Machine Robo Rescue cadets, who are introduced one by one. After the presentation of the most important Machine Robo takes place: JetRobo the plane, FireRobo the fire truck, PoliceRobo the police car and DrillRobo the drill. They welcome the new cadets, transforming from vehicles into sentient and talking robots. The choice to pilot the Machine Robo fell on children between 10 and 12 years, because in this age group they can make the most of all the potential of the machines. After passing a difficult admissions course, they will need to undergo hard training in order to become a Robo Master.
During the introductions, Taiyoh finally arrives and is reprimanded by the instructors for his severe delay. He is also mocked by the presumptuous Makoto Aikawa, who has a fight with Taiyoh and the two would come to blows if they were not separated by the instructors who as punishment order everyone to clean the angar. Machine Robo teach kids that to become Robo Master they must first learn to keep calm and self-control, only in this way will they be able to pilot Machine Robo that will reach 120% of their potential. In the meantime, the alarm is raised about a fire in the city. Taiyoh would like to intervene immediately, but Makoto reminds him that you have to blindly follow the rules and therefore you cannot move, unless they first receive orders from the base. In fact the team is not forced to intervene, because the fire has already been eradicated by the fire brigade. However, Taiyoh's sixth sense is activated and the boy perceives that inside the skyscraper, there is someone who is in danger. Despite the skepticism of his companions, Taiyoh asks Machine Robo for help to head to the skyscraper. These too deny him their intervention because they do not have the right to intervene without the orders of the base, but given Taiyoh's insistence, he is satisfied by JetRobo who makes him get on board. The only one who trusts his initiative is the instructor Marie Bitou, who gives him the K-Boy transmitter, with which he will be able to give instructions to JetRobo via voice command.
After starting from the Machine Robo base, located in a platform on the sea, Jet Robo together with his Jet Team head to the fire place, while the instructors and all the staff are ready to follow the operations from a distance. The first command relates to landing on the terrace of the building, where the graphic reconstruction of the skyscraper is displayed in the K-boy. Once landed Taiyoh in firefighting uniform, he goes on patrol in order to identify the presence of any survivors. At one point from the base they spot an unknown object approaching the skyscraper, which attacks the Jet Robo. From the skyscraper comes a gigantic steel ball, which turns into the terrible robot Guragorro. Jet Robot is ordered to expand the area, while Taiyoh is taken to shelter inside the skyscraper. At the command of `` Expanding Zone '' Jet Robot transforms the surrounding area into a virtual space, which acts as a protective barrier to make the inhabitants unharmed during the battle. Taiyoh orders to use the SkyRobos, but Jet Robo does not accept his commands, believing he can take care of himself and suggests that he go and look for people in need inside the building. Thus Tzaiyoh, after having listened to his sixth sense, perceives in the smoke of the fire, the presence of an unconscious person, who happens to be the boy with the crutch he had saved that same morning.
Meanwhile, Guragorro, swinging his tremendous arms, forces Jet Robot into a very hard fight. From the central he receives the command to give order to Jet Robo for the merger. Thanks to the `` Hyper '' command, the fusion between Jet Robo and the four Sky Robo of the Jet Team begins, which despite the initial difficulties, the units connect as arms and legs, to form the gigantic Iper Jet Robot. Despite making use of the double spinning arms, which demolish everything they find, Guragorro is neutralized by the force of Hyper Jet Robo and his powerful rocket punch, which protrudes from his forearm. From the MRR base the boys rejoice and Jet Robo can therefore remove the protective barrier: Taiyoh has therefore carried out his first mission very well.

Each of them, regardless of age, has a special talent, to be put to good use in the tasks that are due to him. Therefore Mr. Brad Bitou urges the cadets to do their utmost in the course of the hard training that awaits them, in order to become Robo Master.

During the second episode `` Rescue Mission '', we will see the young Arias Honoh Asso 'in action, with FireRobo the Machine Robo specialized in extinguishing fires, who once again will have to face Guragorro's alien robots. Between Asso and Taiyoh a strong rivalry will ignite, as it had happened for Makoto Aikawa, but in the end they will all become friends united to fight a common cause, in defending humanity. Needless to deny the extraordinary similarity of this anime, with the most famous Transformers and with the Gear Fighter Dendoh series of the same Sunrise, with the exception that this anime makes extensive use of 3d computer graphics and cell cartoon style rendering.
