Robin Hood: Conquering Sherwood is an animated series created by the French studios of Method Animation and DQ Entertainment, which is inspired by the classic story of Robin Hood. The cartoon is made in CGI computer graphics and consists of 52 episodes of 15 minutes each. The first series was broadcast in Italy on April 20, 2014 on the DeA Kids channel. It is currently broadcast on Rai Gulp at 10.45 am.

Robin Hood is the protagonist of the series. Robin is a carefree, courageous, generous and kind 10 year old boy. He has a good sense of humor and is always ready to help Nottingham locals when problems arise. Very little is known about his past, except that he is the son of the Earl of Locksley. His friends are Little John, Tuck, Scarlett and Marian for whom he has an indisputable crush.

Little John he is Robin Hood's inseparable friend, who along with Tuck helps him thwart Prince John's evil plans. In one episode he is revealed to be in love with Scarlet.

Tuck is one of Robin Hood's friends based on the classic Friar Tuck character. Together with Little John he helps Robin Hood stop Prince John's plans. Tuck is very greedy and sometimes a little clumsy.

Prince John The main antagonist of the series, an arrogant, selfish and greedy Prince. Marian is based on the character of Lady Marian and works as a spy inside Prince John's castle. Marian, characterized by a blue dress and red hair, is always ready to inform Robin and his friends about the shady plans of the prince and sometimes resorts to his magic tricks learned from his master, even if they do not always work as he would like. She often finds herself in dangerous situations, but is always saved by her beloved Robin.

Get out is a dragon that Marian transformed into a hamster. He is always sad that Marian no longer has the magic needed to turn him into a dragon. All his spell attempts end in clumsy failure. However, he is calm and courageous, and always helps Robin Hood and his friends whenever possible.

Scarlett is based on the character Will Scarlet (also known as Will the Red), but in this cartoon he changed into an inseparable girl friend of Marian. She also lives inside the castle and it is she who often keeps the sheriff and Prince John busy by Marian's side. Characterized by a red dress and black hair she is Robin's cousin and the daughter of Matilda, the cook of the castle. She too in one episode proves to be in love with Little John.
