The protagonists of the story are the two little witches Chocola and Vanilla, who live in the kingdom of Extraworld. Chocola, characterized by long red hair, green eyes and sharp canines, has a determined and enterprising personality, but unfortunately she is the victim of frequent outbursts that frighten the people around her. Due to the disappearance of her mother, the witch Cinnamon, due to the orcs, lives with her grandfather the wizard Corn. In the world of humans she is followed by the frog Duke. Sugar Sugar - VanillaVanilla has blonde, short and wavy hair and unlike Chocola she is a sweet and shy girl. Daughter of the queen of the Otherworld, Candy on earth is accompanied by the mouse Blanca.
The two girls, although with different temperaments, are inseparable friends and have been sent to earth to see which of the two will be able to capture the greatest number of human feelings, in order to be elected the new queen of Extraworld. The feelings of men are enclosed within the crystals of the heart, which have a different score based on their color (the highest value belongs to the red heart) and the two witches must be able to score the highest score. On this journey they will be guided by the handsome Rockin 'Robin, who in the world of men hides under the guise of a popular rock star. Sugar Sugar - Rockin' RobinThe latter will have the task of counting the captured crystals, weighing them in a scale, as well as protecting them from unpleasant inconveniences. Chocola would like to win the competition for her mother who won the previous competition, but who was kidnapped by the orcs and therefore could not fulfill her dream of becoming "the bright star". The two little witches, like all human girls, attend school and here they meet Prince Pierre, a handsome mysterious boy, with whom Chocola falls in love. Pierre greets Chocolat and attracts the envy of all his admirers to her. Chocola and Vanilla invoke their respective "familiars" after reading a spell book; with their scepter in hand, they conjure up the magic words "Sweet Sweet Magic! Magic". This is how Blanca appears, a pretty white mouse, Vanilla's protector and adviser who will prove to be of great help over the course of the episodes (for this reason Chocola can't stand her). In Chocola's familiar, however, not even the shadow. He is found by chance at school by some classmates, who hide him inside his desk to spite her, but to the general amazement, Chocola appreciates that red and black frog named Duke. Despite all her efforts Chocola does not get the successes of Vanilla, who because of her sweetness, is appreciated by all the children of the school and manages to easily capture their heart crystals, also thanks to the help of Blanca. Duke too, despite his laziness, tries to help Chocola, but unfortunately most of the time he ends up in a lot of trouble. When he thinks it is necessary to soften the boys towards Chocolat, putting the girl in need of help, with a magic he makes the school building take off, creating a state of general panic, which terrifies all the boys. It goes without saying that at the end of this idea Chocola does not even receive a crystal. Later Chocola and Vanilla meet Nishita, a boy who directs the school newspaper and with this excuse never misses an opportunity to photograph Chocola. His heart crystal is orange and Chocola tries to win him over. The boy wants to interview Chocola, a good opportunity to steal his heart crystal, except for the fact that Chocola forgets to bring the magic stone that captures hearts, despite Nishita clearly demonstrating a serious love for him. The boy, however, is so shy that he runs away immediately, at each subsequent meeting
