The cartoon Fairly OddParents (The Fairly OddParents! In the American original) is currently broadcast on the Jetix channel and consists of 75 episodes each lasting 20 minutes. The series conceived by Butch Hartman was produced by Frederator Studios Incorporated to be broadcast on the US channel Nickelodeon, where it was a huge success especially by adults, so much so that it was among the most followed cartoons after Spongebob and Simpson.
The cartoon stars Timmy Turner, a 10-year-old boy who lives in Southwestern America in the town of Dimmsdale. Timmy is a child like many others, with his opportunisms, his little bad things and his gestures of kindness, but one thing sets him apart from all the others: he has two fairytale parents. His real parents are very busy watching TV, reading the paper and punishing him, leaving him in the hands of Vicky, a babysitter who loves her little dog more than anything else, so Timmy turns to Cosmo when he needs help. and Wanda, two magical parents, complete with a magic wand, who help him fulfill his every wish.
Between the two, Wanda is certainly the most practical and intelligent, while Cosmo, despite being very good, is often a bit clumsy. In all episodes Timmy has to solve some problems related to his teenage life, such as studying, facing his school friends, playing, eating sweets, friendships with his peers, etc ...
Not finding any kind of help, he turns to his fanciful parents, who with some magic always manage to satisfy him, but only to combine a sea of troubles, which will make Timmy understand, how problems are not solved with spells. Timmy's inseparable friends are Al and Chester, with whom he shares a passion for video games and comics where his number one superhero is Crimson Chin. Much of the stories in this cartoon, reminiscent of the style of Dexter workshop , they are fun and full of humor, with very often insane ideas, but always with a fund of truth that highlights the small and large defects of all normal families. <
