Farhat - The prince of the desert

Farhat is the cartoon series Co-produced by RAI Fiction in collaboration with the Animation Band directed by Giuseppe Lagan and distributed by Mondo TV. The designs are by Sergio Giardo and Antonietta Marrocchella, the screenplay by Marco Beretta and Marco Videtta. It consists of 26 episodes each lasting 25 minutes and is currently being broadcast on Rai Gulp.

The story tells the deeds of the Arab prince Farhat, a 16-year-old boy who studied at the University of Oxford. Back in Arabia he finds his mother Dolunai, his father the noble Yassir and the friendly butler Ben. Farhat is endowed with particular powers of foresight and is obsessed with the dream of the Shariman, a magical crystal which the ancient demon Egokhan wants to take possession of. These desecrated the Shariman, which shattered into seven pieces, dispersing in the various corners of the world. Suddenly that land so rich and luxuriant was thus transformed into the arid desert of Arabia, where ancient legendary places and very rich oil fields remain buried. Farhat's father, Yassir, wants to prevent the greedy Rashid, president of the Petroglobe oil company, from digging the wells inside the sacred desert, where legend has it that the Shariman is hidden there, but it was dispersed because of Egokhan. This terrible biblical demon, awakened from a thousand-year sleep, wants to conquer the world, but first he must take possession of the Shariman, because if Prince Farhat succeeds in reassembling the seven fragments of the crystal, he will return to the oblivion of the centuries.

He decides to ally with Rashid in order to imprison Farhat's parents and lure the same boy into the Labyrinth. Thanks to Ali's help, Farhat manages to foil the traps and is warned by his mother Dolunai to go in search of the Shariman pieces. Al gives Farhat an ancient map of Aladdin, where the path leading to the discovery of the fragments of the magical crystal is traced. Farhat decides to leave for Oxford to decode the map, together with his inseparable friends the butler Ben and the scorpion Al . Here he meets Tilda, a brilliant researcher who, in a short time, translates the map and indicates the point where to recover the first shariman fragment. Tilda decides to leave with the group, not before saying goodbye to her mining father. But right inside one of the caves, Egokhan materializes and tries to make them devour the flames. The boys manage to escape by sneaking into unexplored tunnels. Later the map takes the group of adventurers to the mountains of Tibet, but even here they are joined by the evil Egokhan who works in tandem with the evil Rashid, armed with a super mule-equipped helicopter. After various vicissitudes Farhat and his friends manage to escape their enemies and cross an invisible bridge, which takes them to the top of the mountain. Here they are invested by the immense light of the magic crystal, which they manage to take thanks to the magical shadow of Farhat, with its own personality, which can stretch out of proportion and grasp objects. Once the crystal fragment is placed on Aladdin's map, it lights up and indicates that the second fragment is in Cappadocia, in central Turkey.
