Fireman Sam (original title "Fireman Sam") is a Welsh series that tells the funny adventures of young and brave Sam, his colleagues and the inhabitants of PontyPandy, a seaside town in Wales (the name is a mix of two small towns actually existing). The first series of the cartoon first appeared in 1985 and ended in 1994, but has remained very popular with young viewers to this day. From February 20, 2012, from Monday to Friday at 16.25 pm, on the weekend at 15.35 pm Boomerang offers the version in computer graphics, with new stories and characters.
Sam is truly the hero next door. He has all the characteristics of the model firefighter, who stays calm and composed in the face of an emergency and always offers his help to anyone who needs it. Our protagonist has two grandchildren he adores: James and Sarah, two five-year-old twins. In his spare time, Sam likes to lock himself in his garage and invent new objects: his inventions range from an automatic potato harvester made from old bicycle parts to a machine that can replace the town band. Together with his firefighter friends and the inhabitants of PontyPandy, he experiences new amazing adventures every day.
