Gintama

The name Gintama means "Silver Soul" and features the young samurai Sakata Gintoki, his apprentice Shimura Shinpachi and the alien Kagura. The story is set in Tokyo in 1868, when he still had Edo's name. Here we imagine the city occupied by the aliens Amanto who, having defeated the samurai, enslaved the population and placed a ban on wearing swords. The only one who owns it is Sakata Gintoki (a typical Japanese wooden sword bokuto), characterized by silver hair thanks to which it has the nickname of Silver Soul. Sakata and his friends, always penniless and looking for money, run a company willing to do any kind of work. Shimura Shinpachi has a passion for martial arts, while Kagura is an alien with superhuman strength. Over the course of the various episodes, the three will give life to fantastic adventures with comic and grotesque implications. Sakata Gintoki rides a scooter, loves reading Shonen Jump comics and has a sweet tooth.

Gintama

Although he may seem like a clumsy and snappy boy, Sakata Gintoki in the past was a Joi, an army samurai who fought valiantly against aliens, who, given his fury and courage, nicknamed him "White Demon". Gintoki meets Shinpachi in a restaurant when he was working as a waiter. When Shinpachi was about to serve him the chocolate parfait, he is dropped by an Amanto ambassador. Gintoki furious for not having been able to taste his favorite dessert, confronts the alien and kills him after a fight. This will result in the accusation of crime against Shinpachi who thus becomes unemployed. He is thus hired at the Gintoki agency, as an apprentice and during the various adventures, he will prove to be a precious collaborator on more than one occasion.

Kagura instead forced Gintoki to get hired in his agency, to earn money in order to help her alien parents, after he had freed her from the imprisonment of a criminal gang. Despite being a Beloved, she has human features, but retains an incredible strength and fights with an umbrella that shoots bullets and at the same time can serve as a shield. Kagura also owns a giant dog called Sadaharu, which has the habit of biting people's heads and in particular that of Gintoki. The client of the second episode is called Ken Kato: a poor ronin from whom they have taken everything: home, work and family. But it seems that behind his misfortunes lies a diabolical plan by the aliens to conquer Edo. Will Gin-chan's Handyman Agency be able to help poor Ken Kato?
