From March 1st, first TV on CARTOON NETWORK HERO: 108 Unpublished cartoon-videogame inspired by an ancient Chinese tale of the fourteenth century. Aired every day at 15.50pm.
From March 1st (every day at 15.50 pm), on the first TV on CARTOON NETWORK (channel broadcast on all platforms: SKY, Mediaset Premium Fantasy, Fastweb TV and Tivufonini 3), comes "HERO: 108", an unreleased cartoon inspired to a famous 2010th century Chinese novel: “The Water Margin”. Previewed at the Future Film Festival XNUMX, the innovative TV series tells an ancient story: the challenges of an alliance of Heroes (Humans) fighting against the evil Emperor HighRoller, commander of the armies of the Animals.
Co-produced by the channel's European Studios, together with Moonscoop, using avant-garde animation techniques (HD Flash and CGI), HERO: 108 is made up of 52 episodes of 11 very fast minutes and is aimed at children, but also at communities of videogamers. In fact, the series is built like a video game: through each episode you pass from one level to another. Each episode tells a challenge in itself, always different, between games of wits, skills and ... a lot of humor. Finally, the beaten Animals usually bind to the Heroes (108 in all) to defeat the Emperor in the Final Battle.
Competition. For the launch of the cartoon, Cartoon Network is dedicating a contest in which you can win Nintendo DS Lite and t-shirts with the characters of Hero: 108. From March 1st for three weeks, just click on www.CartoonNetwork.it and answer correctly to a question about the series. Among all those who have given the right answer, the winners will be drawn.
ON-LINE. From the end of February, CartoonNetwork.it will host the Hero minisite: 108 with all the information on the protagonists of the “cartoon-videogame”, on-line games, videos and goodies.
HISTORY. A long time ago ... in the Hidden Lands, Animals and Humans lived together in peace and harmony. One day, however, an evil man named HighRoller, endowed with the power to make himself understood by the Animals (and who hates Humans because he is exiled from his Earth for insulting the emperor), convinces the Animals that Humans are enemies and they urges them to be driven out of their homes.
An alliance of Heroes is formed, called The First Squad, to thwart HighRoller's evil plans and restore peace between the Animals and Humans. At the head of the group, Mr. No Hands: he has no arms, but he can still fight bad guys with dexterity. With him, Lin Chung, seen as a lynx but soul as an artist, and Mighty Ray, the most powerful of all: his eyes throw thunder and lightning ... but only after eating the (hated) bananas. Finally, the beautiful Mystique Sonia with the deadly elastic tongue. She wears as a hat ... another character from the series: the cat-like Yaksha, who can help her in many situations such as lifting heavy objects.
The Heroes and some Animals then joined the Big Green group (name that comes from their floating fortress, made with the shell of a turtle), whose big boss is ApeTrully, which can communicate with both Humans and Animals. Then there are 174 other characters to be discovered ... Together they will face the armies of HighRoller in the hope of restoring peace to the Hidden Lands.
Present in 170 countries, in 21 languages and in 220 million homes, CARTOON NETWORK reaches 4.7 million families in Italy through “MondoSKY”, the basic package of the satellite platform (channel 606). CARTOON NETWORK + 1 (SKY channel 607) presents the same programming delayed by one hour. The channel is also available in the kids package on digital terrestrial TV, “Mediaset Premium Fantasy”. Cartoon Network is also present on Fastweb's IPTV with the TV channel, reaching an additional 200.000 families, and with CARTOON NETWORK ON DEMAND, the first on demand channel dedicated to children.
