Kody Kapow is an American child of Chinese descent. During the summer he goes to a small village in China to spend the holidays with his grandparents. The boy soon discovers that he is the successor of the village defender. With the help of his super cousin Mei and the tiger Goji, he will have to protect the country from the chaos caused by the evil Mogo, a grumpy monkey who wants the village to himself.
Grandfather, Master Li, is a martial arts master and will teach Kody the skills of awareness, patience and perseverance. He will also show him how to master the superpowers of the Sapphire Dragon, a blue bracelet with the dragon symbol that allows the boy to become a superhero and unleash the strength of the "Kapower Up", which will allow Kody, his insightful cousin Mei and the cowardly tiger Goji, to face any adventure to restore order with martial arts blows.
