There are cartoons that are so beautiful and well done that watching them becomes a pleasure not only for children but also for adults. One of these is undoubtedly the cartoon “The Adventures of Chuck & Friends” (original title: “The Adventures of Chuck and Friends”), broadcast on the digital thematic channel Cartoonito. The channel, aimed at children aged three to six, published by Boing, has fifty-two episodes of this series, divided into two seasons, of this series from 3 October 2011. It is a 2010 Canadian children's production by Hasbro Studios that tells the adventures of some trucks who work in groups and are engaged in the construction industry. Of course, this nice gang does not live only from work but loves to have fun and, above all, to discover the world that revolves around them.

As can be seen from the title, the main protagonist of "The Adventures of Chuck & Friends" is the red dump truck Chuck (original voice Gabriel Giammaria, Italian voice Patrizia Mottola), which has the task of transporting material, such as sand, gravel or earth, which is used to build buildings. This cute character lives, together with his father and mother, in the family workshop where he lives fantastic adventures. Chuck is a very funny, unpredictable type and he likes adventure especially when he is in the company of his many friends with whom he combines all the colors. Often the older brother Rally also arrives in the workshop (original voice Lyon Smith, Italian voice Massimo Di Benedetto) who, as the name clearly tells us, is a champion of track and dirt racing. Chuck and Rally spend wonderful days together, full of racing and speed. In fact in some episodes of the series the older brother teaches the younger how to run with the car; while in other Rally he comes home to practice racing with his younger brother and this happens, above all, when motoring experts come to evaluate Chuck's skills as a driver. Alongside the main character of the series there are other fun and extravagant side characters with which to experience incredible adventures.

Chuck has tons of friends who are always available to help when needed. This, in fact, is one of the aspects of the cartoon that immediately catches the eye and that makes it one of the most followed by the little ones: the great friendship that exists between all these characters and that makes it a perfect team ready to have fun but also support yourself. In so many episodes, moments of sharing and support are seen between the unpredictable red truck and his companions. Rowdy (original voice Darren Frost, Italian voice Dìego Saber), for example, is a garbage truck that, as seen in many episodes, is always available to pull scrap out of his personal "closet" to make new and more objects. useful. The nice and big Boomer fire truck (original voice Stacey De Pass, Italian voice Stefano Pozzi) always lends a hand when needed. Thus, it may happen that, when Chuck and his companions decide to build a ship with waste and scrap from the landfill and, obviously, water is needed to make it navigate, our fire engine is immediately available to offer it but, unfortunately, his help is will prove useless because when Boomer pours the water into the hole where the ship is located, the ground will absorb it all and navigation will be impossible. According to some surveys on the television tastes of younger children, this Canadian animation series is among the most appreciated and loved, both because it is very funny and colorful and because, an element much appreciated by adults, it is very educational as it transmits very important values such as the friendship, respect, help and support for each other and, last but not least, it also gives various lessons of a moral nature, focusing a lot on fundamental aspects such as respect for the environment and recycling of waste. The topic of waste recycling, in fact, is particularly felt by the creators of "The Adventures of Chuck & Friend" who deal with it in many episodes. First of all it is very significant and indicative of this attention to the environment that Chuck and his companions in adventures and pranks go to play with the waste and debris of a landfill. Thus, the mountains of waste and all these objects, which could appear apparently useless, especially to those who do not have a strong ecological and environmental culture, become games and entertainment for the cheerful group of friends.

Friends who are of all nationalities, this too is probably not a random choice of those who made this cartoon. And so in a multi-ethnic and multi-racial society like the modern one, our red pickup truck has friends of different nationalities. From the east come Soku (original voice Dale Yim, original voice Luca Bottale), a Japanese cadillac escalade, and his brother Kazuo who, however, only speaks his language and does not understand what Chuck and the other trucks say. For this reason, in some episodes we see Soku giving Japanese lessons to everyone. While the Spanish bulldozer Dìgger arrives from Europe (original voice Fabrizio Filippo, Italian voice Ruggero Andreozzi). And as happens among all friends who love each other and who are inseparable, at times, they fight to immediately return to make peace and to be more united and accomplices than before.

Other characters that surround Chuck's life are: Handy (original voice Gabriel Giuliani, Italian voice Davide Garbolino), a super-equipped tow truck full of useful tools; the glossy orange monster truck Biggs (original voice Joanna Vannicola, Italian voice Marco Benedetti); and, finally, the "invisible" and "silent" employees of the family workshop, Gunther and Semi - Steve, whose horn is usually only heard and is only understood by Chuck's parents. In each episode of “The Adventures of Chuck & Friends” our protagonist makes trouble and takes his cue for his adventures from the encounters he makes when he goes around discovering the world. He listens with great attention and curiosity to the tales of the new trucks he sees and dreams of doing their job and in his mind, in the cartoon represented by a cloud, he already sees himself doing the job of the truck he has just met. And from here begin the incredible adventures that Chuck and his friendly friends live every day, passing unforgettable moments.
