The animated series Miles from the Future is intended for children between the ages of 5 and 11 and tells the adventures, set in the space of the friendly Callisto family, composed of the protagonist Miles, his sister Loretta and the two scientist parents Phoebe and Leo. With each episode lasting about 10 minutes, Miles and his family will have to explore new and bizarre planets, transporting young viewers with them on their adventures and arousing interest and curiosity towards the knowledge of space and the universe. An aspect often recalled in many episodes, however, is to highlight that to have the most important thing it is not necessary to go away or reach other worlds, as the family, its bonds and the most important things we sometimes seek, are right in our house.
The Callisto family (this is their surname) fulfills a specific mission: they are special envoys from the Futuroland Transit Authority, that is, they have to deal with the creation of a special peaceful connection between the various worlds and planets that they will find themselves exploring. They will often find it difficult to achieve this noble goal even if in the end, persevering and fighting for what they believe in, they always succeed in their intentions.
Each of the four members of the family has a defined role within this important mission. The mother is the captain of the spaceship, the father the engineer, Loretta takes care of the technological part. Accompanying them on their space travel is a small robot ostrich named MERC

The Callisto family is the absolute protagonist of the entire animated series.
Miles he is the youngest and is a child of about 7 with a curious character and an enthusiastic nature, has an inventive vein that is sometimes a bit reckless and uses a language made up of words such as "superstellar!" to show their amazement.

The older sister of the protagonist, loretta, he is 11 years old and very intelligent, making him the brain of the family. He loves everything related to the world of technology, has a very scrupulous and careful character in always respecting the rules. Playing the brainy part of the family, Loretta prefers to study and do research rather than having fun like her brother. With his bracelet he always manages to get the answers to any question regarding the universe and space and he manages to translate even the most ancient languages.

Mum Phoebe she is a woman with a rather rigorous but sweet appearance, who has an ambitious character with which she always and continuously tries to encourage other members of her family to give their best in any field.

Dad Leo he is a pilot and engineer, taking care of all the technical and mechanical parts of the ship and has a rather calm and patient character that leads him to always solve problems in an intuitive and fast way. Thanks to his technical and scientific skills, Miles' father together with Loretta can be defined as the inventors of the family.

In addition to the Callisto, there are also on the ship Stella, the ship's computerized voice, and the baby Merc, a robot ostrich always close to the protagonist Miles.

During the various episodes, the family will meet numerous characters, such as the Blopp family of the planet of Blogsberg, with whom everyone will befriend, in particular the little Blodger Blopp will become a dear friend of Miles ..

The animated series Miles dal Futuro was born with the intention of arousing in viewers interest and curiosity towards the fascinating world of the universe and space sciences, where fantastic creatures live, without detaching too much from the problems that all children experience both in the family and at school. Topics such as friendship, diversity between different cultures, respect for all living beings on other planets and much more are discussed.
The scientific information mentioned in the series is true, as the cartoon Miles from the Future asked NASA for support and advice regarding production.

In one episode, Miles and his family must rescue their friend Lucky, who is in a smaller shuttle and about to crash. Mom Phoebe commands to send the ship at maximum speed, entertaining little Miles, but a little less her sister Loretta who begins to suffer from shuttle ache, while dad Leo performs very fast and twisted maneuvers between various meteorites and asteroids avoiding them.
Averted the danger, Loretta informs her mom that Lucky's shuttle is too fast and that they may not be able to reach it before the crash, but she replies that the thrusters are already at maximum and that their ship cannot go faster than so. The little Miles, then, proposes the use of a turborazzo like those of Merc, but Loretta replies by saying that they cannot attack the robot ostrich to the cockpit of the Starjet. Young Miles explains that he didn't intend to use Merc, but something that makes them go faster, like their dad's mini reactors. Leo promptly prepares to secure them under the cockpit and finally the ship is able to go faster, but time is short to save Lucky, so Phoebe draws up a plan that provides for the Starjet to approach the shuttle, while she takes care of preparing the wormhole, Miles and Merc will go into the shuttle to reset the controls. The two run into the shuttle and find themselves in zero gravity, the mother reports that the pressurization system is broken and tells Miles that he must deactivate the controls, reduce the speed with a red handle and then free Lucky from the cold room. Merc and his extendable neck manage to laboriously reach the red handle and lower it, very quickly Miles manages to free Lucky, saving him from freezing and crashing the shuttle.
