Inepisode 41 of the first series (The great Buzzbee movie), Dad Bee finds his old video camera, and Buzzbee decides to film scenes from everyday life on an ordinary day. The father leaves to go to work, Buzzbee films the two friends Barnabee and Jasper, a little embarrassed in front of the camera. Mellisant and Vincent, in the shop, seem only apparently at ease under the eye of the camera, so much so that Vincent overturns a tall pyramid of jars. Katypillar improvises herself as a musical actress, singing and dancing. Buzzbee is disconsolate because no one behaves in a normal way and he is unable to film scenes of everyday life. He returns home and picks up his little sister Babee, but the show seems rather boring and he falls asleep. Woken up by his mother and the whole family returned home, they watch the video on the computer, have fun with what their friends have done. Only Buzzbee is not satisfied and would like to erase everything, until on the screen we see little Babee who, filmed while her brother was asleep, took her first flight! Excited and happy, Buzzbee is glad he made a decidedly extra-ordinary movie!

Inepisode 45 of the first series (Don't be gluttonous!), Buzzbee and Rubee have to go on a school trip to Campo dei Fiori. Mamma Bee then prepares a fantastic packed lunch for the two bees. The smell of the food is so good that Buzzbee can't resist and starts eating even before he gets to school. Rubee has to help the teacher carry pencils and papers for the excursion and entrusts the backpack with lunch to Buzzbee, who eats another sandwich of his lunch before setting out for the walk. Accompanied by Katypillar, the schoolchildren smell the scent of the flowers and, arriving at the Campo, observe the worker bees at work. Meanwhile Buzzbee, who had emptied his backpack on the way, draws from his sister's, and, bite after bite, makes it empty! The teacher, Ladybird, calls a volunteer to go and help the worker bees. Buzzbee is thrilled, but his tummy is so full that he starts making strange noises. Instead, Rubee goes to help the bees. In order not to leave his sister without lunch, since he had emptied his backpack, Buzzbee asks friends to help him. Everyone then gives something and the backpack is full. When it's time to eat, Rubee doesn't seem to have noticed anything, but in the end, her brother reveals what happened and when Katypillar offers all the children a candy, Buzzbee, with her stomach still full, gives hers to her sister!

La House of Bees all children like it: to the smallest as to the largest, to the boys as to the girls. There are many educational ideas and stimuli for curiosity that this cartoon offers. In the first place, the child can easily identify with the adventures of the protagonists, these cute little animals with yellow and black stripes. An insect that lives a human life is for the child a world that apparently unrealistic, shows itself very close to the child's way of perceiving reality. This is how the child learns the reality that surrounds him by better understanding himself and his role in the community. The bees of the cheerful little family do what all children do: they go to school, to the playground, they see their mother cooking or their father going to work. This is how the child, with his imagination, plunges into the imagination and thus grows and develops as an individual. After all, Rodari wrote that the imagination is not an instrument of escape but an instrument of the mind, capable of expressing and forming a richer personality. Thanks to this identification, the child understands and internalizes belonging to a community. The bee, in fact, is a social insect that lives and works in community; each bee collaborates in the search for food, for the construction and protection of the hive.

Just think of that episode in which, absent the parents, the babysitter who looked after the little ones had prepared the pizza and the children enjoyed throwing tomatoes. Here is the idea that loving each other is a characteristic of the happy family. The child perceives the hive as a family and understands and internalizes belonging to a community in which he feels unique and special.

This is how the conditions arise for an adult individual who willingly collaborates and performs acts of sharing spontaneously, that is, becoming aware of the possibility of interacting with the other.

La Casa delle Api is also liked because it makes the child understand the cycles of nature. Following the adventures of the little Buzzbee and Rubee, the child approaches the elements of nature, learns the function and usefulness of these small insects, discovers the different stages of honey production.

In this way, moreover, the child experiences and understands that living beings need elements and nourishment to live but also that each of these is important for the whole food chain. In this cartoon there is therefore a very important message for the child: we must respect nature and all living beings.

La Casa delle Api is a cartoon with many educational ideas: there is emotional involvement in a favorable environmental and social context. And this is a very important factor because television, despite the criticisms, tries to promote a pedagogical commitment by contributing to the satisfaction of the educational needs of childhood.
