The main characters

Peter Pan
Today Peter would be over a hundred years old, but the boy who does not want to grow up continued to live his eternal childhood on Neverland, Neverland, a magical and timeless place. Weightless, he flashes in the sky with the fairy Tinkerbell, and knows no tiredness or sad moments because he knows how to discover the funny side in everything. The Lost Children who have landed on the island love him very much and follow his guide without hesitation, infected by the joy and enthusiasm that he always knows how to convey.
Many adjectives have been used to describe Peter Pan: charming, funny, courageous, loyal, generous, but also forgetful, moody, self-centered. The new Peter embodies all of these characteristics, along with an insatiable hunger for adventure.

Trilly
Tinkerbell, tiny and beautiful, flickers alongside Peter with golden wings with iridescent reflections. Lively, impulsive, very fast, it moves in a whirlwind of light, fairy dust and the tinkling of little bells so similar to childish laughter. Despite her gentle features, beautiful sea green eyes and nature full of joy, she can be touchy and very possessive towards Peter, from whom she reveals herself inseparable. The attacks of jealousy that hit her when her friend pays too much attention to Wendy make her spiteful, but this vulnerability contributes to bringing her character closer to the emotions of the young audience.

Wendy and Michael

Wendy
Wendy is the figure in which many of the little viewers can recognize themselves. She is a modern, trendy girl who wears jeans, sneakers and a sweatshirt. He loves listening to music, computers and video games. She is protective of her two younger brothers, who often make her angry with their quarrels.
Definitely pretty, she looks like a great-great-grandmother like a drop of water, but reveals a combative character very different from that of her sweet ancestor. Although he knows all the tales of Peter's charms, he does not allow himself to be completely attracted to his responsible world. Criticism, sometimes pain in the ass, recognizes in the eternal boy defects of superficiality and unconsciousness. She becomes his friend, but intertwines with him a relationship of confrontation and confrontation very similar to that existing between so many boys and girls of our time, who quarrel and tease each other while continuing to love each other. Peter obviously never misses an opportunity to provoke her and has a lot of fun infuriating her.

John
John is nine years old, with straight dark hair, light eyes framed by a pair of goggles that underline his serious and studious nature. Intelligent, respectful of the rules, he suffers every now and then from jealousy towards his little brother Michael, who must always be satisfied because he is the smallest, and finds a precious escape valve in the phantasmagoric world of Neverland. Despite this, true to his nature, on numerous occasions he does not forget to remind his companions: `` Guys, this is an evening thing! '', Revealing himself to be the exact opposite of Peter.

Michael
Michael is six years old, with unruly curly hair and messy clothing. Still in the height of childhood, he loves fantastic stories and the reassuring company of toys, especially puppets. He is the enthusiast of the family, an ardent admirer of Peter Pan, always ready to follow him in his adventures with genuine confidence. On the Island That Isn't There he experiences moments of total amazement and complete happiness, typical only of children, such as the encounter with the real Santa Claus.

Captain Hook and Peter Pan

Captain Hook
The Captain is an eternally dissatisfied character, obsessed with the idea of capturing Peter Pan. He alternates subtle attitudes with real outbursts of anger, which light up two small skulls in place of his pupils. The crew, with the meek boatswain Sponge in the lead, often tries to bring him back to reason by urging him to carry out his task, that is to search for treasures, or to desist from projects as infamous as kidnapping Santa Claus. But everything turns out to be useless and the sailors end up terrified every time to obey the orders of their commander.
Tall, with long black curls, a plumed hat, a purple red tending to pink jacket and trousers, Captain Hook reveals himself vain and cruel, shrewd in the arts of a strategist but completely incapable of the endless fight against Peter Pan.

The beginning of the new story
Wendy has read the great-great-grandmother's diary and knows Peter's story well. Growing up, however, he comes to the conclusion that it is just a fairy tale and tries to convince his little brother Michael that `` Peter Pan doesn't exist ''. The little boy's resistance to abandoning such a beautiful dream is rewarded when Wendy, playing Peter's old flute found in a trunk, unwittingly recalls the boy with her friend Tinkerbell to the Darlings' London villa. Peter Pan thus returns to whiz through the skies of the city: a London that has been enriched with new lights and new buildings after his last visit because we are now in the XNUMXst century.
The flight of Wendy, John, Michael and their affectionate dog Newfie over the rooftops and towers of the capital to reach Neverland will be just as magical as that made by the great-great-grandmother and her little brothers. Once on the island, Peter and his new companions will find the characters of all time waiting for them, from the Lost Children to the terrible Captain Hook with his ramshackle crew.

The following episodes are tailor-made for the different characters, so that each of them can be the spokesperson for one of the little big problems that crowd the world of children.
For example, we witness Wendy's efforts to organize a surprise birthday party for Peter, who hates this anniversary, despite the interference of Captain Hook and his pirates, who in another episode will even try to steal Christmas! John's jealousy of Michael, who always tries to steal his belongings, will also find an outlet and a solution during the treasure hunt organized by Peter and Tinker Bell. For the Darling brothers, an escape to the island is always welcome, especially when it is necessary to leave out unwelcome tasks, such as tidying up one's room, but also to Neverland, in the continuous struggle between good and evil, there is no lack of opportunities to learn new lessons, such as discovering that there is no greater treasure than friendship.

In addition to the episode structure, other factors contribute to making the cartoon contemporary. The Italian acronym Sulle ali del mondo , composed and interpreted by Pierdavide Carone, is the first element that brings the apparently remote world of Neverland to the emotions of the current youth universe. Graphics are the second determining factor in making the characters and the enchanted environment in which their adventures take place realistic. 3D helps young viewers to expand their imaginations, magically transporting them from the Indian Camp to the Sirens Lagoon. The brilliance of the colors, the bird's-eye views of London and the sea, the attention to the smallest details in the reconstruction of the sumptuous and decadent jolly rogers complete the perfect illusion of a parallel reality.
