Twin Princesse - Twin Princesses (original title Fushigi-boshi no Futago-hime) is a Japanese anime belonging to the maho shojo genre (maghette for girls), which will be broadcast starting from Monday 19 January 2009 on Italia 1 at 17,50. During the first week, 2 episodes will be broadcast from Monday to Friday, each lasting 15 minutes and the first two will be titled "The Twin Princesses" and "Journey into the Kingdom of Mera Mera".
The series is divided into two seasons each of 52 episodes, which were made by the studios Nihon Ad Systems directed by Junichi Sato and Shougo Kawamoto.
The main theme of the series is the preservation of our planet and the protection of the environment, thanks to which it has achieved enormous success with the public, during its first release for TV Tokyo between 2005 and 2007.In a distant place in the universe, there is the Planet Wonder characterized by a strange conformation. In fact, due to the collision with a gigantic meteorite, which has penetrated inside, seven kingdoms have been created, each with its own specific characteristic. The meteorite has become the Solar Kingdom and thanks to the power of its rays of light called the Blessing of the Sun, it illuminates and warms all other kingdoms. Around the Solar Kingdom we find the Kingdom of Mera Mera, which has the task of regulating the climate and temperature of the planet thanks to the power of fire. The Kingdom of the Moon controls the nights of the planet and has a door to access other universes. The Kingdom of the Drop allows water to arrive, in the form of clouds and rain.
In the Kingdom of Tana Tana the seeds of the plants that grow on Planet Wonder are produced thanks to the power of the Mother Tree, while the Kingdom of the Windmill has the task of spreading them. Finally we find the Kingdom of Jewels, which thanks to the precious stones of its mine, gives wealth and well-being to all the inhabitants.

One day in the Kingdom of the Sun a great party is held, which will see all the princesses and princes of the seven kingdoms participate. Twin princesses Fine and Rein should also participate in the dance, too bad they have a behavior that is not suited to girls of their rank and prefer to run around rather than take dance lessons. Fine is the princess characterized by red hair and it cannot be said that she is very brave, as she complains about every little problem, but she also knows how to be generous with everyone. Rein is the twin princess with blue hair and eyes who, unlike Fine, is very enterprising, a lover of risk and adventure. They are chased throughout the castle by the austere nurse Camelot, who always calls them to discipline and study. Fine and Rein witness the arrival of the other princesses and get to know Princess Lyons from the reign of Mera Mera, who has arrived aboard a hot air balloon. Lyon is a very shy and problematic girl, but she is immediately conquered by the sympathy of the twin princesses. Like them, Lyon also does not know how to dance and in response Fine and Rein give a sample of their non-dance. While everyone is at the party, the Twin Princesses take a strange elevator that takes them to the center of their planet. Here they meet the beautiful Princess Grace, who asks for their help. Planet Wonder is in danger because the temperature of the Kingdom of the Sun is decreasing and the rays of the Blessing of the Sun are in danger of extinguishing. Urgent action must be taken within a year, before this has serious repercussions, within the ecosystem of their planet. In the past she managed to save him, but now she can no longer because what they see is only her spirit, which materialized to entrust him with the precious task. Only a princess of the Kingdom of the Sun will be able to save the planet, thanks to the power of Prominence enclosed within the solar casket.

The two twin princesses are not really ready to use this power yet, so Grace entrusts them to the guidance of the elf Poomo, who will teach her how to best use their power and make them travel to the various realms thanks to teleportation. Meanwhile, the party has begun and the nurse Camelot is desperate, because she cannot find the two princesses. All the ladies of the Kingdom who aspire to have the honor of being invited to the ball by the beautiful Prince Bright, of the Kingdom of the Jewel, are introduced. . Despite everything Bright helps them get up and invites them to dance with him. Rein has this opportunity and even if he is ashamed because he cannot dance, he feels happy in the arms of the prince. Meanwhile, Fine is more attracted to the cake than to the celebrations. Lyon looks at Rein with a pinch of envy and is only ashamed of the idea of ​​dancing with Bright. At a certain point the planet's light fades, and the twin princesses understand that the time has come to use their magic. Over the course of the night Fine and Rein try to use Prominence's power again, but this time it doesn't work. Poomo explains to her that the power didn't work because they had to put the solar casket to charge. It also makes them aware of the basic rules: first rule they must not use Prominence for their personal purposes. Second rule: they must not reveal to others that the sun is weakening.

The Twins Princess are thrilled with their powers and can't wait to roam the various kingdoms. Once the solar chests are recharged with Poomo's teleport, they head to the realm of Mera Mera. Here they are attracted to dolls (Rein) and candy shops (Fine). The city is very hot and the inhabitants are similar to bears. Hungry they are attracted by the scent of a restaurant and here they meet the panda cook Howan, specialized in Rice on the hot flames . The Twin Princesses decide to try Prominence's power to help Cook Hown, because he has lost the spices that allowed him to cook the delicious fried rice. They say the magic words “magical sparkle light up, let mister hown find the spice”. But something is wrong. Poomo the elf tries to figure out what happened, but while analyzing a bone that fell on his head, he is chased by Flame Dog, the dog with the flaming tail. Poomo climbs a coconut tree and right here finds Mr. Hown's spices, who compliments Fine and Rein for helping him. The greedy girls try to taste the tasty rice, but for them it is terribly spicy. Suddenly a mysterious boy arrives who snubs them and invites them to look at the stone of the dragon's flames. Back at the castle, Poomo checks in the sphere of the star the level of royalty reached by Fine and Rein and despite the low score, they pass the first exam. Meanwhile, Camelot scolds them for not being able to find them and for being late in their studies.

But the princesses are ready for another adventure in the realm of mere mere. Here they present themselves in the presence of the king of mere mere and find their friend Princess Lyons. Here comes the little prince Tio, who believes he is a very good swordsman, the pride of his father. The planet has been in danger since the sun's rays weakened, in fact it has become so cold that Lyon sees snow for the first time. The king believes that the fault is attributable to the dragon of the volcano, which emits only puffs, so together with his army, he goes to the place to prevent it from emitting its icy puffs, but is hindered by a snowstorm. Intended the twin princesses, they decide to face the dragon with their magic. The twin princesses decide to use the power of prominence to make the water from the spring warm the dragon.
