The Wolf Cartoons! Wolf! (original title "It's the wolf") were produced by Hanna & Barbera in 1969 and were part of the block of cartoons which also included the cats of Cattanooga and Mototope and Autogatto. The series is inspired by that of Iacchi Dudu, where a helpless duck and a muscular dog appeared, taking up his defense. In the cartoon of "Al Lupo! Al Lupo!" we find a helpless little lamb Lambsy, threatened by a stubborn wolf, characterized by a green hat and a thinness that suggests his need for food. The wolf (who remembers quite a lot Willy Coyote) uses a thousand tricks and disguises to attract the lamb and make it move away from the enclosure. The little lamb, despite its naive appearance, always manages to find something that does not convince him and in the end he unmasks the wolf by shouting "Wolf! Wolf!", Although most of the time, he does it just when the wolf is. taking away. Here comes the shepherd dog to his aid, who, armed with his long cane with a curved handle, grabs the wolf by the neck and makes him fly several meters away. The distraught wolf always wonders, what went wrong in his disguise, but in the next scene we find him struggling with some other plan.
