KickinChicken is a toy produced by Playtime Co. and debuted in Chapter 3: Deep Sleep. Miniature versions of KickinChicken reside in Playcare along with the rest of the Smiling Critters line.

Appearance
KickinChicken is an anthropomorphic chicken with yellow feathers, four-toed wings, black eyes, a crescent-shaped upper beak, and a crown of three feathers that extends down the right side of his face. Its feet and upper bill are orange. Like the other Smiling Critters, KickinChicken is depicted with a wide, toothless grin (his inner mouth shrouded in darkness) and possesses a black zipper line running along his chest and belly, with the zipper sporting a pendant in the shape of of a ruby ??star.

KickinChicken's cartoon appearance is roughly the same as his toy appearance, albeit without the zipper line, with the addition of white pupils and the zipper pendant now attached to a black necklace.

Personality
According to his Twitter description, KickinChicken is depicted as the "cool kid" of the Smiling Critters team. He values ??this representation of himself highly, so he maintains his image of himself in everything he does. This behavior appears in the introduction of the cartoon, where he is seen surfing, a sport generally considered cool. KickinChicken also has a strong sense of determination, as he will emerge unscathed from any tense situation that brings him to his knees. Despite this behavior, KickinChicken is prone to fear, as demonstrated when he hunkered down with the other 6 Smiling Critters (excluding CatNap) during a windy storm at DogDay's house. He was one of the Critters who begged CatNap to help them fall asleep, saying, "Please help us!" after PickyPiggy.

Like the other Smiling Critters, KickinChicken displayed a creepy and maniacal personality when CatNap came to DogDay's house during their sleepover. When CatNap agreed to use his Poppy Gas to help them sleep, KickinChicken showed signs of insanity, addiction, and mania when he inhaled it, laughing hysterically with the others until they passed out.

History
KickinChicken was created as a member of the Smiling Critters toy line. Shortly after, miniature versions of him were created, along with a Bigger Bodies version to work in Playcare. Sometime after The Hour of Joy, the Bigger Body version of KickinChicken was presumably killed by CatNap, as DogDay refers to himself as the last of the Smiling Critters.

In Chapter 3: Deep Sleep, a miniature version of KickinChicken appears as a hostile plush toy. KickinChicken, along with the rest of the Miniature Smiling Critters, chases the Player into the Playhouse. Using the GrabPack's orange hand, the Player must fire a light rocket to scare it away. If KickinChicken gets too close, he performs a jumpscare and launches himself into the player's face.
