Scooby-Doo! and Mystery of Wrestling is an animated film released primarily for h'home video DVD in 2014 and is the 22nd Scooby-Doo film. a co-production between Warner Bros. Animation and WWE Studios. The film features Scooby and her 4 inseparable friends who solve a mystery at WrestleMania.
The film tells of when Scooby-Doo and Shaggy after completing the last hardest level of the wrestling video game, win a free stay at WWE City to watch WrestleMania. At the duo's insistence, Fred, Daphne and Velma agree to join them on their journey to WWE City. Upon their arrival, the Mystery Machine crashes into a moat, after Fred avoids a raccoon crossing the road. The gang meets famed wrestler John Cena, his trainer Cookie, and Cookie Ruben's nephew, who help them put the Mystery Machine back on the road. They also meet Bayard, a hunter who despises WWE for building their city in its forest. Cena gives Scooby-Doo and his friends VIP tickets to the next event, to make up for their argument with Bayard.
At the show, Mr. McMahon shows off the WWE championship belt, which has been held vacant since Kane's last fight was canceled, so at WrestleMania, the title is still up for grabs over the course of the weekend. The Scooby-Doo gang is then offered a tour of the WWE training camp before arriving at their hotel rooms. Later that night, Daphne and Velma overhear Ruben arguing with Cookie, who tries to stop him from becoming a WWE wrestler due to Cookie's leg injury. Meanwhile, Scooby in a nightmare dreams of battling giant monsters when Shaggy wakes him up and they are both terrified of encountering a monster called Phantom Bear, so they escape to save their lives. WWE wrestlers intervene during the chase, but Triple H and Brodus Clay are overwhelmed by the monster, which disappears after throwing a pole towards a water tower. The next morning, the gang is informed by Ms. Richards that in recent weeks, the town has been terrified of bear attacks. McMahon asks the gang to solve the mystery of the Ghost Bear to ensure the safety of wreling matches and preserve the WWE belt. Cena and Sin Cara explain to the gang that the ghost bear legend began over 100 years ago with a wrestling bear named Vicious, who was defeated by Sin Cara Senior's great-great-great-grandfather. Furious at his loss, Vicious vented his frustration on the city until Sin Cara Senior chased him into a cave, but it cost him the leg injury that forced him to terminate his career.
