Scooby-Doo and Batman - The Unresolved Case (Scooby Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold in the American original) is a 2d graphic animation film on the comedy, thriller and superhero genre produced by Warner Bros. Animation in 2018 and distributed for home video dvd. The film is a crossover between the famous cartoon dog Scooby-Doo e Batman: The Brave and the Bold. The film stars Scooby-Doo and his friends teaming up with Batman and other DC Comics superheroes to defeat a new supervillain. It is the first film based on Batman: The Brave and the Bold since the series ended in 2011. The film premiered at the TCL Chinese Theater on January 6, 2018 and was released on DVD on January 9, 2018.
The story tells of Batman who collaborates with the gang of Scooby-Doo and his companions in pursuit of a ghost, but warns them to stay away from this case, as it is very dangerous for their safety. When the puppeteer attacks again, Fred manages to defeat Perpetto and his puppet, and the gang unmasks them as Martian Manhunter and Detective Chimp. Batman reveals that in reality, this was just a fiction because he wanted to challenge the Mystery Inc. group to join them: the superheroes of Mystery Analysts of Gotham.
Mystery Inc. arrives at their headquarters, where they also meet Question, Black Canary and Plastic Man, as well as Aquaman. Mystery Inc. is asked to take the lead in the next case. When the alarm sounds from Gotham Chemical Storage, the group heads to the warehouse, where they discover that several vials with a radioactive isotope have been stolen. A red-cloaked figure called the Crimson Cloak appears in front of them, swearing revenge on Batman and Gotham City for turning him into a ghost. Crimson Cloak sets fire to the warehouse, but the superheroes of Mystery Analysts manage to escape the explosion with the help of Plastic Man.
As the superheroes put out the fire, Batman sends Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. to eat at a diner, here he reveals the story of his only unsolved case. Many years ago, early in his crime fighting career, Batman attempted to stop Professor Milo from completing an experiment with faulty teleportation technology. However, the vortex created by the device killed one of its collaborators, Leo Scarlett. From that moment on Batman has no peace for his failure that haunts him. They then deduce that the probable suspects behind the crimson cloak fall on Sam Scarlett, Leo's father or the Riddler.
Batman and the Mystery Inc. group pay a visit to the Riddler at Arkham Asylum. Batman, Fred, Daphne and Velma encounter Crimson Cloak, who frees the other inmates from their cells. Investigators can barely escape their clutches and seal them inside the asylum. When they return to the Mystery Machine, they are intercepted by Harvey and the other Mystery Analysts, who attempt to arrest them for isotope theft due to false evidence planted in the van. Batman and Mystery Inc. escape.
