Shrek 2 From December 17th the highly anticipated Shrek 2 will be released in cinemas, a fun and adventurous animation created in 3D by Andrew Adamson, Kelly Asbury, Conrad Vereon and distributed by Dreamworks. After a romantic and rejuvenating honeymoon, Shrek and Fiona, accompanied by the inseparable and talkative Donkey, set off to go to the Far Away Kingdom, so that they can meet the king and queen (parents of the bride). But against all golden expectations they will soon be the protagonists of a lively and exhilarating adventure. In fact, the two sovereigns will be surprised and dismayed when they see their pretty daughter (or so they remembered her) married to an Orc. In particular, the father - keeper of a tangled secret - will nurture an acute dislike for Shrek (as he represents an unwelcome unexpected), so much so that he will weave a plan to get rid of the horrifying Ogre: to this end the Puss in Boots
(which will make us laugh with laughter). But that's not all! Because even the fairy Smemorina will help to put the spanner in the works with all sorts of magical potions, in order to make Fiona fall in love with Prince Charming (as per the script). Fortunately, Donkey will be there to help our heroes in their misadventures! After all, there will be surprising faces and implications, which will end in a well-deserved happy ending. Shrek 2 remains faithful to the satirical and ironic spirit of the first edition (only this time, only the Disney classics, but also and above all the legendary Hollywood hill) and is more than successful on the graphic level (of indisputable quality). In particular it is characterized by being an explosion of fun, which will satisfy adults and children. This is thanks to the fact that it is embellished with really hilarious moments of waiting, numerous gags, cinematic quotes, acute and subtle dialogues. The whole is also enriched by a soundtrack of 80s hits, including "Freak c'est chic".
The moral background of this comedy should not be overlooked, which teaches us how physical beauty alone cannot replace or fill the depth of an authentic feeling, such as that which unites Shrek and Fiona. by Helga Corpino
