Maia, a curious and nonconformist bee, was born in a world where those who differ from others are not welcome, and where the perennial conflict between bees and wasps seems to never end. The protagonist will try to adapt to life in her hive, but will find herself clashing with the evil advisor of the Queen Bee, intent on plotting an evil plan to steal royal jelly. But his project will have a short life thanks to the courage of the little bee, who will try to stop it by calling to its aid all the insects that populate nature around its hive, including wasps, creatures that have always been in contrast with bees. Maia's allied insects will be of great help.
 The trailer sees Maya the Honey Bee, alone against a white background, complaining that she is now the only character from the old cartoons who has not yet starred in a film. But here, as if by magic, the world is formed around her, mushrooms and stones appear and the grass grows, and amidst a thousand laughs Maia begins to flutter in the midst of the colors of nature: her moment of fame also arrives finally on the big screen.
In the feature film Maia always remains the same rebellious bee that we met with the cartoon of the 80s, where in the company of her insect friends she moves away from the hive where she was born to explore the world. Maya the Honey Bee is not the first cartoon from the 80s to be revived in the cinema: in recent times we have had the opportunity to meet old acquaintances, such as Captain Harlock, Belle and Sebastien
e Yattaman. However, Maya the Honey Bee differs less from the original and maintains, albeit with completely new graphics, the same characteristics of the tiny bee that we have seen fluttering on our TV screen for years. Always the same ape Maia, in short, for the happiness of the spectators who saw it born in the 80s.
