How to Train Your Dragon - The hidden world ( How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World ) is the 3rd animated film based on the novel by Cressida Cowell , produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Universal Pictures, sequel to How to Train Your Dragon 2010 and Dragon Trainer 2 of 2014.
Written and directed by director Dean DeBlois, the film stars the Italian voices of Flavio Aquilone (Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III), Letizia Scifoni (Astrid Hofferson), Massimo Lodolo (Grimmel il Grifaio), Carlo Valli (Skaracchio), Alessio Nissolino (Moccicoso Jorgenson) ). The film is the first DreamWorks animated film to be distributed by Universal Pictures, rather than 20th Century Fox with which the studio previously had a distribution agreement. The film was released for the first time in Australia on January 3, 2019 and its release is scheduled for Italy on January 31, 2019.

How to Train Your Dragon 2
, continues Hiccup's work of rescuing the dragons along with his friends (and their respective dragons) in order to bring them back to Berk. However, this has led to the problem of overpopulating the dragon island. Hiccup then decides to go in search of the "hidden world", a safe haven for the dragons that his late father Stoick told him about. Meanwhile, Light Fury a female dragon, held captive by the warlords, is given to the infamous dragon hunter Grimmel as bait to capture Toothless.
Toothless meets the female dragon Light Fury in the woods near Berk and the two dragons fall in love, but Hiccup's presence scares the fleeing female dragon. Hiccup will later discover Grimmel's dragon traps in the woods. Grimmel visits Hiccup that night, but the latter has set up an ambush to capture him; Grimmel manages to escape by burning down Hiccup's house and most of Berk. In response, Hiccup gathers citizens and dragons of Berk to leave Berk in search of the hidden world and safe from the dragon hunters.
Hiccup and Toothless finally discover their true destinies: the village chief will be the governor of Berk alongside Astrid, and the dragon will instead be the leader of his species. As they both move towards their glorious future, their friendship will be tested when they face the darkest threat ever, along with the entry of the female Light Fury dragon.
