The new Disney live action adventure directed by Joachim R nning will be in Italian cinemas from 17 October 2019. In the cast, in addition to Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning, also Michelle Pfeiffer.
In the 2014 Disney movie Maleficent, audiences learned of the events that hardened the heart of one of Disney's most notorious antagonists and prompted her to put a curse on the little Princess. The new chapter, set several years later, continues to explore the complex relationship between Maleficent and the future Queen, as they form new alliances and face new adversaries to protect the forest and the magical creatures that inhabit it. Academy Award-winning actress and three Golden Globes Angelina Jolie (Girls Interrupted, Wanted) and Elle Fanning (The Deception, Super 8) return to the big screen as Maleficent and Aurora in the new Disney live action feature Maleficent - Lady of Evil, in Italian cinemas from 17 October 2019. Directed by Joachim R nning (Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge, Kon-Tiki) Maleficent - Mistress of Evil is written by Linda Woolverton (Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast) and Micah Fitzerman-Blue & Noah Harpster ( Transparent) and produced by Joe Roth (Alice Through the Looking Glass, The Great and Powerful Oz, Maleficent) and Angelina Jolie. The film also boasts the presence of a stellar cast, which sees the Golden Globe-winning actress and three-time Academy Award nominee Michelle Pfeiffer (Murder on the Orient Express, Ant-Man and The Wasp) as Queen Ingrith , Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor (Doctor Strange, 12 Years a Slave), Ed Skrein (Deadpool, Game of Thrones) and Robert Lindsay (My Family, Wimbledon), while Harris Dickinson (Darkest Minds, Trust) plays Prince Philip. Maleficent cast members will also return to this new adventure, including Sam Riley (PPZ - Pride + Prejudice + Zombies, Control) as Fosco, Oscar nominee Imelda Staunton (Pride, the films of Harry Potter) in the role of the fairy Jujube, Juno Temple (The Wheel of Wonders - Wonder Wheel, Atonement) in the role of the fairy Verdelia and Academy Award nominee Lesley Manville (The Hidden Thread, Topsy-Turvy - Upside Down) in the role of the fairy Fiorina.
