The most anticipated film of the year finally arrives in Italian cinemas. Star Wars: The Awakening of the Force will be in cinemas from Wednesday 16 December 2015 in over 850 copies, a record figure in the history of films distributed by The Walt Disney Company Italia in the Christmas season.
The visionary director JJ Abrams and Lucasfilm take fans back to the galaxy far away that for over 35 years has made entire generations dream and where they will find some of the most iconic characters of the saga, such as Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, the two R2-D2 droids and C-3PO. Alongside them will be new charismatic characters, including an extraordinary female presence with actresses such as Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones), Oscar® winner Lupita Nyong'o (12 Years a Slave) and Daisy Ridley who plays the young Rey
The film stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Max Von Sydow. Kathleen Kennedy, JJ Abrams and Bryan Burk are the producers, while Tommy Harper and Jason McGatlin are the executive producers. The screenplay is by JJ Abrams & Lawrence Kasdan and Michael Arndt.
