Orm the troll

The film The Snow Queen 2 is the sequel to the previous successful 3D animated film "The Snow Queen" from 2012 based on the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen.
The 2014 film is also produced by Wizart animation (Russian animation studio) under the direction of Aleksey Tsitsilin.

Orm the Troll miner, in order to win the heart of Princess Gelda of the Troll kingdom, writes her a letter where he tells her many lies about his work in the mine and his wealth, but in reality his only talent is to combine lots of troubles. He says he managed to free all the trolls, thawing them from the spell of the Snow Queen, including the brave king.

This will lead him to receive the hand of the princess, but on the day of the ceremony, a series of events caused by his deceptions will lead to the awakening of the evil king of the ice who will kidnap Princess Gelda. The one who saves the king's niece will become her husband. For this reason an army of ramshackle trolls will set out in order to free the princess, among them the brave and mighty general Arrog, rival of the little Orm.

Unlike the previous adventure, wounded in pride he will want to get by on his own, so he will bravely embark on a journey to free his beloved princess. Despite everything, his friends decide to help him, just when the snow queen is chasing Orm, so aboard their vessel they will fight to free their troll friend.

The film "The Snow Queen 2" won the "Best Animated Film" award at the Prague Independent Film Festival in August 2016 and was shortlisted for the 2015 Golden Globes.
