Little Yeti is a computer-animated adventure film made in 2019 by DreamWorks Animation and Pearl Studio. The film was written and directed by Jill Culton and co-directed by Todd Wilderman. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2019 and was released by Universal Pictures in the United States on September 27, 2019, while Pearl Studio released it in China. The film received generally positive reviews from critics. It will be released in Italy on October 3, 2019
After stumbling upon a young Yeti on the roof of his Shanghai apartment building, and having nicknamed him "Everest", teenager Yi and his friends Jin and Peng embark on an epic quest to reconnect the magical creature with the his family at the highest point on Earth. To help Everest get home though, the trio of friends will have to stay one step ahead of Burnish, a wealthy man bent on capturing the Yeti, and Dr. Zara, a zoologist.
As of September 29, 2019, the film Little Yeti grossed $ 20,9 million in the United States and Canada and $ 10,2 million in other countries, for a worldwide total of $ 31,1 million, against a budget of production of 75 million dollars.
