UNDERDOG - Story of a real superhero

The Underdog movie is based on a series of animated cartoons created by Buck Biggers and broadcast from 1964 through 1973, which initially aimed to advertise a brand of breakfast cereal. In Italy it was known under the name of "Ughetto, perfect dog" and broadcast on Italia 1.
The film is directed by Frederik Du Chau, a director specializing in animation and entertainment films, such as "Tom & Jerry the movie", "In search of the enchanted valley 3", "The magic sword In search of Camelot" and above all "Strip, a zebra to the rescue" with which he achieved some success.
It all begins when a wandering Beagle dog (known for hunting hare) sneaks into the laboratory of the mad scientist, Dr. Simon Barsinister. Following a laboratory accident he finds himself hit by a series of electrical discharges that give him extraordinary powers. From that moment he will be able to run at supersonic speed, fly and even speak like humans. In the cartoon he had the distinction of speaking a refined language, with a kissed rhyme. He will later be welcomed into the house by Dan Unger and his son Jack, from whom he will not hide his superpowers, which will initially terrify his new masters. Being a very humble dog he defines himself as Underdog, which translated would sound like "dog subspecies", but his purposes are very noble and heroic, such as helping all people in need and freeing the city of Capitol City from crime. So Underdog, found the Supercane costume on the basis of his tastes, (in this he remembers a lot Krypto the Superman dog) gives spectators scenes of action and breathtaking races, where the superdog will be able to solve the most risky situations, at the last second. Among all those that Underdog intends to defend, there is a dog with which he is conspicuously in love: a beautiful Spaniel named Polly Purebred (voiced by Selvaggia Quattrini). Things get complicated when the mad scientist and his Cad henchman decide to destroy Capitol City, but only Underdog will be able to defend his city.
In the Italian version Underdog is voiced by Pasquale Anselmo, while in the original version he has none other than the voice of actor Jason Lee. Excellent special effects and script, with fast and light rhythms, without boring points, tailor-made for the family audience.
