Uryu Ishida is a Bleach manga and anime character. self-proclaimed as the last Quincy and named by Yhwach as his successor giving him the letter A, he is one of Kurosaki Ichigo's classmates and the most outstanding student of his entire course. Although his name is Uryu, all the characters except his relatives, Ganju and Peaches refer to him as Ishida throughout the entire series. However, in the Latin-Spanish dubbed version several characters refer to him as Uryu and not exactly as Ishida, as he is both in the manga and the anime in his original language.
Uryu, as a child, knew his quincy powers, which allowed him to see the hollows and pluses of the real world, as well as the shinigami themselves. Since then he has shown interest in learning about their powers, and for this grandfather, the last Quincy Soken Ishida, who instructed him in the knowledge of the destroyers or Quincy approached. He taught how Shinigami were forced to nearly exterminate the clan and threatening the balance of size (the Quincy did not purify Hollow, only cleared). Young Uryu learned the basics of his powers.
