Batman: Arkham Origins is an action-adventure video game developed by Warner Bros. Games Montreal and edited by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, released October 25, 2013 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Windows and Wii U.
The game is a prequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum and shows Batman's debut in the city, as police and criminals believe he is an urban legend.
The story takes place five years before Batman: Arkham Asylum, during the winter. Batman has appeared on the streets of Gotham City for two years, driving and facing several robbers but unfamiliar big city criminals. The police still don't know if they should consider it human aid or an urban legend.
On Christmas Eve, Batman intervenes in Blackgate Prison for a mass escape attempt organized by Black Mask, who kills Commissioner Loeb before escaping. Batman falls on Killer Croc, who reveals to him after their confrontation that Black Mask has a $ 50 million contract on his head and vigilantism hired eight of the most dangerous killers to execute him. To find Black Mask, Batman sets out on the final offering, the ship and the penguin's hangout. In the holds, he must face the Electrocutioner and Deathstroke, before learning that the black penguin mask was killed in his apartment there several days with his partner. Batman conducts the investigation and identifies the victim as a liner, created by Black Mask to prevent the actions of a new criminal: the Joker.
