The Riddler, also called Mystery Man (The Riddler in the original version) is a comic book character created by Bill Finger and Dick Sprang in Detective Comics n. 140 in 1948. His true identity is Edward Nashton or sometimes Edward Nigma.
In his youth, in the school he was in, IQ tests were done in every class. These tests contained, among other things, puzzles. The very young Edward Nigma showed up in class one evening and copied the correct answers for the next day's test. It was, so to speak, his first dishonest action.
At first obsessed with puzzles, charades and any mental gymnastics, he naturally went towards committing crimes and other types of foulness prohibited by law, and eventually became the Sphinx or the Riddler, made famous by the cryptic clues left to the attention of the Black Knight.
For his crimes, the Riddler is sometimes accompanied by two accomplices: Query and Echo. These two women are good fighters who protect the Mystery Man against Batman.
After nearly killed by silence, he changes his personality and mentality, convinced that he has not cheated in the examination in his youth, and is aware that he has an incredible IQ (intelligence quotient) and developed I did not believe it. The "new" Sphinx is therefore more dangerous for Batman, using his intelligence to design deadly traps.
