La Polistil It was an Italian toy manufacturer (and not only), more precisely model cars, and anyone who lived their childhood between the 70s and 90s knew the company in a surprising way, especially for the Formula 1 tracks, symbol as well as product in the eyelet of the Lombard company.

In 60s Polistil he struggled to succeed, he had another name (politoys) and the model cars it made were not at the same level as its competitors, the turning point came years later, when the company decided to change the design scale of the toys - from 1:43 to 1:24 - and with this small innovation (but also the use of die-cast metal as many competing companies already did), the market trend changed; a larger car was both more appreciated by children but also more profitable for the company itself.

But the real one Polistil's luck was racing cars with attached tracks, around 1970 the 1:32 scale F and FK series, all representing Formula 1 car models, where with impressive tracks, which can be assembled and reassembled, powered by current, drove the cars in daring races, full of attraction, emotions and desire to win.

They were models of a certain value for the time, now chased and sought after by collectors, who could flicker like thunderbolts on the built tracks, even if the charge had to be dosed well, given that spins and accidents were on the "minute" order! Between the tracks and the attached cars that made Polistil great there was the series Policar, with the up Ferrari 312 B3, symbol of speed, but also others, such as the C seriessample 80, with 1:66 scale models representing numerous Formula 1 cars like Wolf WR1, Ferrari 312 T2, la Renault rs01 , Lotus 78 Mk3 JPS Ford. Another important series was the Champion 175, with models with more realistic details and with larger sizes (1:32 scale), with unique models that have made the history of Formula 1: McLaren M26 Marlboro Ford, Ferrari 312 T2, Renault Turbo RS01 and many others.

La Polistil was in the forefront in the 80s, its tracks - as well as being the best known and most requested by children from all over Italy - presented preferential lanes, pit lanes and curves with different radii, which allowed racing more and more realistic, complete with the possibility of overtaking and accidental (but also desired) collision. The Polistil tracks were almost always complementary between the different models, so as to be able to recreate a path even hundreds of meters long (if space permits).

Today Polistil no longer exists as a company itself, yours brand is Chinese owned (May Cheong Group), the official distributor is the MacDue Group, but its tracks still live in the mind and hands of passionate, nostalgic and collectors.
