The Piko trains are presented with a very high level of detail, and this thanks to the great fidelity of the real counterparts with which the various models are made. In fact, the level of care of the realization will give collectors the impression of having a real train in their hands: the locomotives are also equipped with an internal system that allows them to have the light and sound function that will give a touch of class and additional realism. to the locomotives themselves. Furthermore, the driving wheels with which the locomotives are equipped will allow the train, as a whole, to be able to pass on the layout without major problems.
In addition to the locomotives, the Piko also has other types of trains in its catalog: the first are the freight wagons, made of less resistant materials than the locomotives but with the same graphic detail, presenting themselves compactly and with writings and paintings that perfectly represent the real freight wagons, while the other types of wagons, such as the restaurant wagon or the cabins where the passengers stay, are very detailed and inside there will be the interiors that characterize these wagons, such as the restaurant tables and chairs.
Analyzing the plastics produced by Piko, these turn out to be very simple to assemble: all the parts are made of wood, and thanks to the screws and strips, the assembly phase of the model can be almost immediate, and also thanks to their resistance, the various parts can be handled with more peace of mind, as these will be able to withstand the small impacts which in most cases irreversibly damage the various components of the plastic itself. The Piko trains, and in particular the locomotives, can also be equipped with the digital function: thanks to the remote control, in fact, the owner can remotely control up to a maximum of four locomotives at a time, provided that these support the digital function, which operates through in infrared system that starts from the remote control up to the locomotive.
Buildings also have their importance: for this reason Piko has in store a vast number of buildings that can be placed on the model, both railway-type buildings, such as stations and iron disposal centers, but also of the civilian, like houses, all made of hard plastic and obviously painted with non-toxic materials. As for the tracks, these are made of wrought iron which allows an excellent transmission of the inputs that the owner will send to the locomotive, and also the paths that will be built can be expanded more and more thanks to the various track kits, equipped with branches and connections that will allow the passage and control of more trains at the same time.
Despite the great technical and aesthetic realization of the various trains, the Piko suffers from a small defect, namely fragility: during the assembly phase of the wagons and locomotives, in fact, a lot of attention must be paid, since the small parts that compose them could be damaged. irreparable. On the side of use, the Piko trains are ideal for those who love to collect and above all use the trains, and this thanks to their aesthetic appearance and the immediate response of the trains to the inputs that will be sent to them. |
