The cartoons of the elephant Benjamin, are broadcast on Rai Due from Monday to Friday at 7,00 . The series consisting of 26 episodes, each lasting 22 minutes, was made by the German animation studio Kiddinx Studios GMBH in 1977, and is based on the children's stories by U. Herzog. The drawings, aimed at a preschool audience, are very good and the animations well cared for and full of detailed settings.
Benjamin is a cute elephant, characterized by a hat and a red uniform, who works as a zoo helper in a quiet town, taking care of all the animals, with generosity and selflessness. In each episode we will find Benjamin struggling with a different animal, like the monkey with the habit of changing the hands of the clocks, who escapes from the zoo and sends the circulation of buses into chaos, which no longer respect punctuality. Or we find him struggling with the little hippopotamus, the white rhino, the dog with a cold, the bears and many other animals characteristic of the zoo, which our protagonist always tries to get out of trouble, with his great intelligence and resourcefulness. There is no shortage of mysterious adventures in the castle of ghosts that sees Benjamin the protagonist of a "thrilling" adventure. At the completion of each undertaking to express his happiness he always exclaims "Toooruuu !!!". Benjamin is also the point of reference for the children who participate with him in solving problems concerning the animals in the zoo. Another very important character is the masked journalist Carla Caramba, always on the hunt for scoops and important news to be published in her newspaper, which very often with her impetuousness threatens to ruin the plans of the elephant, but more often than not she manages to make a valid contribution to the mysterious investigations , especially thanks to his photos. Another noteworthy person is the ambitious mayor of the town, who, however, in most cases, proves to be a little clumsy and very generous. All the episodes are commented by the crow Gulliver who introduces us to the theme of the episode by describing the vices and virtues of the inhabitants of the zoo and the town...(Click on RAIDUE)
