Shueisha Games announced on Wednesday that together with Alpha Key they will launch Arcana of Paradise -The Tower- real-time roguelike adventure game for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on April 20th. The game will launch in an interface in English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, German, French, Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese. It will also offer English and Japanese subtitles.

Shueisha Games has launched a demo for the game on Steam .

Describes the story of the game:

Lead a group of brave children trapped atop the tower as they embark on the perilous journey downwards in search of sustenance. With a total of 20 playable kids, each with their own starting cards, stacking the deck in their favor. In each run, players will be able to form a group of two to enter the Tower.Choose wisely, as real-time battles require split-second decisions. Execute attack cards hastily to string together powerful combos, and play defensive cards at the perfect time to confuse enemies. Redeal new cards instantly if a poor hand is dealt and watch out for cards that can flip with surprising upside and downside. Choose from hundreds of possible matches, as each child earns new traits and upgrades after each successful run.

Fight for survival against tower dwellers who grow in particularity after each descent and collect new battle cards after each skirmish. The loot of victory creates a conundrum: will the heroes reward tower mates with nutritious bread or build the deck in this race to aid the arduous journey into the belly of the beast?

Tom Ikeda ( Lollipop Chainsaw ) directs the game and Masaoki Shindo ( RuriDragon ) draw the characters.

Shueisha has founded Shueisha Games as a new wholly owned subsidiary in February.
