Disney confirms the cancellation of the fourth season of DuckTales
Despite a courageous online petition effort by fans, Walt Disney Television Animation will not produce the fourth season of the animated series. DuckTales . A Disney spokesperson released the following statement:
"The talented creative team, led by Matt Youngberg and Francisco Angones, provided exceptional storytelling with uniquely reinvented characters for three seasons of 75 episodes and more than 15 short films. As physical production wraps up, "DuckTales" continues to be available daily on Disney and Disney + channels around the world and fans will have an epic season finale in 2021. ".
News of the cancellation first came from Drew Taylor a Collider, who tweeted on December 1, "regretfully informing you that the show is indeed over and has been done for some time. "

The series recently premiered a special holiday episode "How Santa Stole Christmas!" (guest star Downton AbbeyHugh Bonneville). In addition to the series' hinted finale, fans of Duckburgers can keep house fires alight for the upcoming Darkwing Duck reboot, now in early development.
Inspired by classic Disney comic worlds created by Carl Banks and Jymn Magon, as well as the original 1987 Emmy-winning series, the new Tales of goslings debuted on Disney XD in 2017 with positive reviews and a warm reception from the public. The reboot was developed by executive producer Youngberg (I am 10: Omniverse) and co-executive producer / story editor Angones (Wander Over Yonder), with Sean Jimenez (Gravity Falls) as the artistic director of the series.
The animated comedy-adventure chronicles the high-flying adventures of Duckburg's most famous billionaire Uncle Scrooge (Scrooge McDuck) (voiced by David Tennant); his mischievous great-grandchildren Qui, Quo, Qua, (Huey, Dewey and Louie) his capricious nephew, Donald Duck (Tony Anselmo); and the trusty team of McDuck Manor: the brave and fearless Launchpad driver / pilot McQuack (Beck Bennett), the simple housekeeper Mrs. Beakley (Toks Olagundoye) and her niece, Webby Vanderquack (Kate Micucci), friend's resident and ferocious adventurer .
