Netflix's “Monster of the Seas” rises from the depths with teasers, cast and dates Reveal
Today, Netflix got an award for us with the debut of the first teaser trailer, the voice cast list and the premiere date for its next animated film. The monster of the seas (The Sea Beast). Written, directed and produced by Academy Award winner Chris Williams (Moana, Big Hero 6, Bolt), the CGI animated adventure will cause a stir on July 8.
The preview introduces us to a world of seafarers and mysterious and monstrous sea creatures. From the rugged deck of the ship to the island's lush jungles populated by truly unique wildlife, audiences will follow an enthusiastic young body and her adoptive crew "or where the map ends and the real adventure begins."
Bringing the adventure to life will be the vocal talents of Karl Urban (The Boys, Star Trek movie) as Jacob, Zaris-Angel Hator (Mathilda from The West End, upcoming series The Power) as Maisie, Jared Harris (Chernobyl, The Crown), Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Without a Trace, Homecoming), Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts) and Kathy Burke (Absolutely Fabulous, School of Roars).
As part of the Netflix feature film spotlight during the Geeked week , the official full trailer of the animated family adventure in CG The monster of the seas emerged from the deep to get his teeth into the fans! From Academy Award-winning director Chris Williams ( Moana, Big Hero 6, Bolt ), the film transports audiences to a mythical era in which the leviathans of legend waited for the seafarers, just beyond the horizon.

The new preview highlights the film's brave heroine, a young aspiring monster hunter determined to follow in the footsteps of her idol. We will also see other salty beasts and (depending on personal taste, of course) curiously cute creatures that populate this animated world.
Plot: At a time when terrifying beasts roamed the seas, monster hunters were famous heroes and no one was more loved than the great Jacob Holland. But when young Maisie Brumble hides on her legendary ship, she is allied with an unexpected ally. Together they embark on an epic journey into uncharted waters and make history.
The voice cast includes Karl Urban, Zaris-Angel Hator, Jared Harris, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Dan Stevens and Kathy Burke
