The trailer for the retro videogame sequel to "Sol Cresta"

Sun Crest is an arcade shooter sequel to Moon Cresta e Terra Crest Platinum Games released a trailer, which names Hideki Kamiya as writer and Yuzo Koshiro for the game's music coming to Switch / PS4 / PC.

Previous Cresta games were both top-down space shooters, with the added trick of having to "dock" your ship to advance.

Both games were made by Japanese developer Nichibutsu and designed for arcade cabinets, but following the retirement of studio founder Sueharu Torii, the rights to their video game library were sold to Japanese publisher Hamster Corporation, which is responsible for Arcade Archives on Switch.

The game will appear in Hamster's "Neoclassical arcade series vol. 1".

Although the game was announced for 2021 earlier this year, the trailer appears to imply a 2022 release date, before resuming the date in 2021. Let's see what you did there, Platinum.
