Story

The runners, divided into teams of two, visit a different country or place in each episode and perform in "legs". Teams must race towards the “Chill Zone”, the finish line of each stage which takes the form of a golden “Completion Carpet”. The first team to finish has the advantage of starting early, while the team to finish last could be eliminated. In each of the 26 episodes, each team must press a button on any “Don-box” they come across to receive clues that allow them to decide which challenge they will have to complete.

Each challenge contains a task that teams must complete in order to advance down the leg. Challenges are of four different types: “All-In”, in which both members of each team complete a task together; “Botch-or-Watch”, which requires one member of each team, usually the team member who has not faced a member of a previous challenge, to perform a task; "Autumn", in which teams can choose between two different tasks that must be completed in the same way as "All-In"; and “Superteam,” where multiple teams complete together as a team to complete a task.
