"White Snake 2: The Tribulation of the Green Snake" the record-breaking Chinese animated film

The animated film White Snake 2: The Tribulation of the Green Snake (White Snake 2: The Tribulation of the Green Snake) made by the Chinese studio Light Chaser Studio tops the world box-office rankings with a debut of 29,7 million dollars, despite being released only in its national territory. Revenue includes $ 2,6 million from IMAX (9,1%), beating the 2019 film Ne Zha, or the Chinese animated film with the highest sales of all time. These numbers come from Maoyan, which expects $ 77,5 million gross.

The 3D CGI photo is a sequel to that of the White Snake's 2019, which earned $ 61,6 million worldwide as well as a worldwide festival that included screenings in Annecy, Fantasia, Animation Is Film and Sitges. White Snake 2: The Tribulation of the Green Snake it is also inspired by the Tang dynasty fable about two snakes endowed with immortality and the ability to transform into women, who drift apart when they fall in love with a human man. White Snake 2: The Tribulation of the Green Snake resumes while Bianca, the white snake (Xiǎo Bái), is forced under the Leifeng Pagoda by a Buddhist master. Meanwhile, Verta, the green snake (Xiǎo Qīng), is also taken to the otherworldly city of Shura. In time of need, a mysterious masked young man saves Verta and asks for her help in escaping Shura and freeing Bianca.

White Snake 2: The Tribulation of the Green Snake ( Chinese :白蛇 2 ： 青蛇 劫 起; pinyin : Báishé: Qīngshé Jiéqǐ ) is a Chinese CGI fantasy animated film of the 2021 directed by Amp Wong, with the animation production of Light Chaser Animation, Alibaba Pictures, Tianjin Maoyan Weiying Culture Media and Bilibili. It is the sequel to white snake of 2019.  The film was inspired by the Chinese folk tale La legend of the white snake and was released in China on July 23, 2021.
