Anibar prepares special guest presentations for the 2021 edition

Anibar International Animation Festival opens its doors this Friday for the twelfth year in Peja, Kosovo. The festival contains screenings of over 300 films, three special programs, five presentations, four workshops and six panels. As in previous years, special guests will join to offer their wisdom in the animation industry with presentations and workshops, open to the public.

This year's guests include:

Brooke Keesling - "Entering the animation industry" | Brooke Keesling will give a presentation on her experience of working in the highest level of the animation industry and give practical advice on how to break into the creative industry. And if anyone knows how to do it, it's Keesling. His first animated short film, Boobie Girls , won both Academy and Emmy for animation students in 2002. Keesling continued to work on practical and miniature effects on films such as start, The dark Knight, Hugo, Pirates of the Caribbean: Beyond the sea borders, Green Lantern e The aviator. For years he has sought out talented animators and directors for large companies such as Cartoon Network, Disney and Warner Bros. Now he is Head of Animation Talent Development at Bento Box Entertainment, where he works on Bob's hamburger.

Keesling's presentation “Getting into the Animation Industry” will be held on 29 July at Kinema Jusuf Gërvalla in Peja.

Gary Schwartz - “BARMATION” | Gary Schwartz is an Oscar-nominated director, award-winning animator, director and educator. It joins this year's edition of the Anibar Animation Festival to offer guests a front row seat for the unique approach to the world of hands-on animation. Through his “BARMATION” workshop, attendees can witness the creation process like never before, as well as create an animated promo for the festival itself using unique techniques, such as stop-motion and kinetic visual storytelling. Schwartz worked for Disney, Sesame Street and MTV as an animator and director. His background in education is impressive: Schwartz has taught in traditional settings such as schools and universities, but he has also educated people in prisons and mental health institutes. His motivation is that everyone should have access to a creative outlet.

Lori Malépart-Traversy - “The journey of a clitoris across the world” | Lori Malépart-Traversy will join this year's edition with a virtual presentation to share useful details on her creative and cutting-edge approach to animation. A presentation that offers an intimate look at the beginnings of his journey as an animated film director and the progress of his career. The successful film from Malépart-Traversy the clitoris he dealt with the theme of female masturbation and sensuality. After that, the common goal of her films was to tell the truth, educate and hopefully inspire others to take action to continue breaking taboos on female sexuality. Her direct involvement in the themes of female empowerment, sexual assault and female sensuality invites powerful conversations, and this is your chance to be a part of it!

Malépart-Traversy will hold its presentation "The journey of a clitoris across the world”On 25 July at the Kinema Jusuf Gërvalla.
